No, no, no! Everything had been shoved into one big pile of mess. It was going to take ages to sort it all out. How could this have happened, when she had sealed them herself in boxes? Looking around for them, zooming onto a pile of boxes. All opened and emptied into one giant, menacing pile. Hopefully, it was still in some sort of order.
Taking hold of the ponytail, Donna twisted it up into a bun and tucked under into place, weaving her way toward the back. Tossing her bag onto the provided cot, she also placed all the boxes, clearing up the area. The papers were shifted onto the desk, setting up the printers off on the side desk, have they were set up and running.
Placing the laptop down on the working desk, beside the high stack of papers, while answering calls, and fixing issues that popped up, outside the conference area. All the other office stationery she shoved into drawers out of the way and easy access.
The door opened, and Donna's hand shot out on top of the papers, so they wouldn't blow away. She didn't need that mess to clean up, looking up as the manager entered and quickly closed the door. "Sorry. I hope everything is to your liking?"
It was exactly what she had asked for and would see to her needs. "Yes. Did anyone of your staff open my sealed boxes?" She asked hesitantly, not wanting to accuse anyone or upset the one she needed in her pocket.
He looked across shocked. "No."
"Fine," she gave a reassuring smile. He wasn't so easily put off.
"Why? We just stacked everything as you wished and locked the door behind us."
Well, someone had been in here. "Can you find out if anyone has been let in? It's probably someone from my company." She dismissed it as unimportant, yet still riled her that someone had done that without asking.
"Of course, anything else?"
"Yes," she looked around, just a room, frowning. "I will need to use the facilities. I can use the ladies during the day, but other things like showers, and such things. Do you have one for staff?"
"There are toilets behind the reception for staff. I will organise a pass for you. There are showers in the pool area that you can use before and after hours." That would suit her fine, because she always started early, and worked late. "For meals, just order what you want from wherever and it would be delivered or just eat at the restaurant. All you have to do is give your name. The rest is sorted."
"Thank you for being so accommodating."
"If there is a no-show or cancellation, you will be moved instantly."
"Just my clothes once I set up here, if possible. I don't want any of this moved again unless I do it."
"As you wish Miss Barrows. If there is anything else, please do ask."
"Could I have all the information on the hotel times?" So she could work out a schedule. She needed to suss out the pool area. She also needed a break, she was getting a headache from all the drama, tapping her Bluetooth as it pinged. "Donna, speaking."
"Miss Barrows?" Her heart slammed into her tight chest. His voice was so familiar yet different, more English. He had had a real cultured tone with his country's undertones.
"Yes, sir," keep her distance, be professional and she didn't know his name. That needed to be rectified as soon as possible. "How may I help you?" That is what she was here for; running a hand over her hair, making sure it was still in place, just in case she needed to leave the office. "Of course, I will send you the data to your email if you give it to me." Opening the drawer she removed a pen and pad.
"No, I would rather have the data printed out and brought to me. How soon?"
"How soon do you want it?"
