As it began to hit her, Donna began to shake all over clutching it tightly to her heart, licking suddenly dry lips, heart pounding. "You remember? You remember me?" She asked emotionally, feeling overwhelmed, used to the fact he might never remember her properly. "How? When?"
He opened his arms, and she fell into them, holding him tightly as he caressed her back. "Not in full detail, but I remember you, Donna Barrows," he sighed. "That special smile of yours. My wife, my greatest love. I love you more than you could know that has deepened. You have grown into this amazingly strong, passionate woman." She shook all over, unable to stop; he shifted her more onto his lap and wrapped her in his arms tightly. "I am back, Donna, we are in this for the long run and I will never leave you again," he sealed his promise with a kiss. "I had hidden this," he traced his finger along the box, "until I had talked to my parents. We went the wrong way about things, and I think we have jumped our last hurdle."
"I hope so," she whispered. Standing, he offered his hand that she took and was helped to her feet, grabbing the jewellery box, after shoving in the licence and memory card, she went back inside with her husband, who was only too eager to show her how much he loved her.
In the aftermath of his lovemaking, Donna lazily stroked his chest. Faris caught her hand and brought it up to kiss. "I was wondering how you would feel about starting a family." Shocked, she stared at him bringing him up on his elbow, hovering over her, looking down, surprised. "Too soon?"
She blinked, and then a smile curled her lips, reaching up to touch his lips with the fingertips that he kissed. "I would like that."
"Yet you were surprised," he noted, watchful.
"You took me by surprise," she sat up and circled his neck with her arms, pressing up against him, where he placed his hands on her hips. "I would love to have your babies," she whispered, brushing his lips with her own. "A new start, a new life and I did promise your mother heirs."
"Donna," he moaned rolling her onto her back, into the pillows, covering her with his body. "So no more flicking in the eye for you." She giggled that was music to his ears. He had seen the yearning in her eyes when she had hand-fed the cat.
"You remember," he shook his head, "what I told you," she finished.
"Of course, I remember everything you have told me, Donna."
Her cheeks grew rosy. "You do?" She gasped, eyes glazing over, giving a shaky smile.
"Every word," he promised, eyes gleaming, "especially when you are demanding what you wanted."
She laughed, not denying it. "That was all your fault," brushing fingers across his lips, sending a tremor through his body.
"Is it now? Did I teach you to be so demanding," he teased, eyes sparkling.
"Yes," she breathed, spreading her hand across his cheek, guiding him down to her. "And I am going to be very demanding now."
"I am your willing slave," he promised, lowering further covering her waiting lips, where they spoke to each other without words. She could see there wasn't going to be much sightseeing in the next few days before they headed home.
Arriving back into their country, as Donna saw it now, after a two-week break, Faris was rearing to go, easing back into duty at his father's insistence of not overdoing things. Donna is at his side between princess lessons on learning all protocols, and language, and also looking after wildlife when needed.
Her days were full, setting up an office in their apartment that was easier than the one in the official working palace area. Not that her workload was overtaxing. More to do with taking things off Faris' hands, freeing him up to follow his pet projects. Also functions that she attendant at his side as his official wife.
