Aria POV
"Hey, sorry we're late, but Mike told my parents I was seeing someone and then he said it was a teacher but he refused to say who and my life is turning into hell." I said to Ezra after Malcolm had gone into the living room to watch spongebob.
"Its okay. Does Mike know that we're seeing each other." Ezra asked, staring into my eyes. I looked down.
"All he knows is that your a teacher and when me and my friends talk about you we refer to you as Mr. Hottie."
"Well, your a miss Hottie who is soon going to become a Mrs. Hottie." Ezra said, tickling me. I laughed so hard.
"My friends have worse names for theirs. Wanna hear them."
"If its worse than Mr. Hottie, hell yes." Ezra said, whispering the last part in my ear. His breath felt nice against my face.
"Caleb is Mr. Hacker, Toby is Mr. Baby blue carpentry, and Paige is Drowning shark." I said, teasing him.
"Mr. Baby Blue Carpentry is pretty bad." Ezra said, cracking up.
Malcolm ran over to us with a picture. It was of the three of us. Malcolm was in the center and me and Ezra were sitting behind him. A few inches away was Maggie (Im assuming because of the blond hair and the frown), looking all pissed off. I tried not to laugh.
"Malcolm this is called a piece of realism." Malcolm stared at me.
"How come." The little boy asked. I should have known this was coming. I just had to open my big mouth.
"Because what's in the picture is happening in real life. Malcolm, do you mind if I hang that picture on the wall." The little boy ran off, laughing, and returning his focus to the Tv.
"Realism." Ezra said. He was trying not to laugh as well.
"Its what's happening in real life. Maggie is always pissed off about the two of us, so its okay." I said, smirking.
Malcolm spent the night in the small guest bedroom. Ezra and I had the big bed to ourselves.
"Im gonna pick Malcolm up after school tomorrow if you have another meeting with the Dean. I'll just take him back to the house."
"What about your parents." Ezra asked.
"They'll get over it."
Ezra POV
"Well. This is where I leave you. You have always been such a great and wonderful class. My favorite class actually.
"But again...this is where I leave you. Good luck. Its the best advice I could ever give you. That and to stay in school." I added. The class laughed at me, all except Aria, who was tearing up in the front row next to Spencer who was winking at her.
After my last class I went to my meeting with the Dean. I hate meetings with a passion.
Aria POV
"Decided to come home." My mom joked, bringing me a cup of tea on the couch. I smiled at her and looked at Malcolm, who was watching another episode of spongebob.
"Mom. Its not like that." I said.
"Was the teacher pressuring you to do anything, or..." I cut my mom off with a smile and said, "Mom. We love each other and that's all that matters. Isn't it." Malcolm came running over from the Tv.
"Aria, I had a few questions."
"Can you ask your dad them, later." I said.
"No. If you're going to be my stepmom, you should be able to answer them too."
"Stepmom?" My mom asked, more like demanded. "Aria what does he mean by you becoming his stepmom."
"Aria is going to marry my daddy soon. She has a ring my daddy gave her and everything. Im going to be the ring bearer. Roar."
"Marry your daddy soon. How soon Malcolm."
"I don't know. Her and my daddy keep talking about the importance of college. They also they cant get pregnant, whatever that means, before Aria goes to college. They were worried once about it. I almost had a stepbrother or sister." I was ready to kill Malcolm.
"Okay. Mom can I see you alone in the kitchen. Now."
"Sure Aria. Well get some more tea. Malcolm, just watch some Tv."
My mother and I walked through the door to the kitchen. I locked it behind us. My mother stared at me.
"Pregnancy scares Aria. And getting married. Really. I was not expecting that coming from you." My mom said.
"Mom...Look we've been really careful and everything. It was just one time. And we have been talking about getting married for a few months so when he popped the question, it was no suprise."
"Do I get to meet mystery man. Have dinner with him. Maybe even a dinner with his son. And he has a son. How old is he?"
"Not that old. And besides that was highschool and for almost 4 years he had no idea Malcolm even exsisted because his mother fell off the face of the earth." I said.
Malcolm knocked on the door. I opened it. He handed me my phone.
"Daddy's calling. He needs to talk to you. He doesn't have much time hes in a meeting." He said.
"Hey." I said into the phone.
"Hey. Listen I was thinking. When I start Hollis we can tell your parents." Ezra said. I listened.
"Okay. What's your plan. My mother just found out about the two of us being engaged." I said. My mom tried to listen but I cover the phone up more.
"Your dad invited me for dinner. How about we tell them then."
"That sounds great. Love you."
"Love you too. I'll see you there. Malcolm too. Love you. Gotta go, bye."
Ezra POV
"Daddy's here." I heard Malcolm yell from the open window. As soon as that door opened, her mother would know about me and Aria.
Malcolm opened the door. Aria stood there, behind him. Aria's parents were nowhere in sight.
"I told them to wait in the kitchen. That it would be easier that way. Mom is telling dad about you coming."
"What are your parents going to think of me." I asked.
"Haven't gotten that far. Lets just...try this first." Aria said, sighing. Malcolm ran into the kitchen. Aria popped her head into the kitchen.
"Are you ready to meet my fiancé." Aria said to her parents. Aria opened the door wider and pulled me into the room. Her parents gasped at me.
"Ezra. You're our co-worker. How could you." Aria's dad yelled.
"Nice to see you Ezra. I cant believe you are Aria's fiancé."
"This is going to be a really awful dinner isn't it." Mike said. We all glared at him. "Kidding." He added at the end.
