I'm home sick so i actually get to update :P If you wanna make  me some covers just message me on wattpad and we can talk from there :)

I open my eyes to find them stinging and sore. I raise my hand to my face and it comes away wet with tears. As I gain my wits, I realise that I’m lying in a stranger’s bed and start to panic but freeze as I become aware of strange people in the room talking.

Chasers...

My eyes widen and I bolt out of the bed only to end up stumbling against a wall from being dizzy. At the same time I become increasingly aware of the extreme pain coming from my thigh and look down at it to see it bandaged, but stained heavily with crimson red.

The Wolves...

I start to panic even more and flick my eyes up to scan my surroundings only to find ragged Chaser’s all looking alert and staring right at me.

“Well this is fucking splendid” I mumble in disgust. I’m relieved when I find that my weapons are still attached to me. The bastards weren’t game enough to frisk me.

I scoff at the thought and pull out two daggers and hold them in clenched fists in front of me and raise an eyebrow at the Chasers daring them to come at me.

They don’t.

I continue scanning the room looking for exit points. There’s two doors, one with no light coming from behind it and the other with a faint glow and shadows passing every couple of seconds.

I figure out that every ten seconds, two shadows pass the door meaning that it takes twenty seconds to go from one end of the hallway to the other, assuming the door to this bedroom is halfway. So if I go out the door ten seconds after the shadows past and can sprint to one end, out running one guard ending up I only have to take on one, I should have less trouble getting away.

If I can get past these guys first that is.

I decide to attack first, slashing across the nearest guy’s abdomen and sweeping out the next guys legs then kicking him in the head with enough force to knock him out and run towards the door dodging and slashing at the remaining chasers, ignoring the burning pain in my thigh.

I reach the door at the right time while there’s still Chasers coming at me but burst through the door and quickly look for where the most light is coming from and head in that direction.

I head down the dull hallway; coloured with dark navy and grey colours and see the next guard is coming at me, while the other one is charging down from the other end of the hallway. As the first guard lunges, I drop to the ground and slid under the guard, the adrenaline numbing my screaming wounds, I twist and throw one of my throwing knives at the back of his thigh.

As that guard goes down with a yell, the next one is already there and lunges at me while I’m still on the ground so I roll and he lands like an idiot on the ground.

“That was the dumbest move I’ve ever seen goldilocks,” and with that I smash his head into the ground.

I can hear numerous footsteps from both the bedroom and the stairs that must be around the corner so I head in that direction, knowing I’ll have an advantage.

The hallway opens up into an over head balcony, looking down on what looks like the living room, the furniture also ranging from dark navy to greys. To my left and right are wooden stair cases that head down to the living room and heading up them are very murderous looking Chasers.

I swing my head from left to right and completely stop in my tracks.

Him.

I don’t know what to do, it feels like my entire body is exploding with sparks as my eyes connect with his and the world feels like its stopped like it did the first time I saw him and it scares the crap out of me.

“Raven what the fuck are you doing” I hear the intruders voice again and now I definitely think I’m losing it. I step back a bit in shock gasping but the voice snapped me back to my senses because I’m about to get mauled by angry looking Chasers.

Glancing back to the railing, I decide to make a very stupid decision and charge at it, placing one hand on it, push off the ground, over the railing and pin drop through the air. My stomach flips as I fall but stops as I crash into a couch causing me to scream at the top of my lungs, making me to see black momentarily.

I quickly look down at my bandaged thigh through tears of pain to see my whole leg nearly red with blood and feel the hope of getting out shatter.

“run and never stop...” My sisters voice tells me.

Something snaps and I stop my crying, stop myself pitying and stop my fear of these bastards.

They killed my family.

Took me away from my only remaining family.

They took my future.

And they’re going to fucking pay.
