Venus P.O.V

What's that beeping? Why does it smell like chemicals? I groan in annoyance. I open my eyes to see a dark haired man staring down at me. "Who are you?" I ask him, frowning.

He smiles. "I am Dr Cox.." He says. "Do you remember what happened?"

I frown. What did happen? Let me think. I remember going to London for a signing. A Gerard Way signing. Then..."I was shot." I whisper.

"That's right." He writes something on his clipboard. "Your a hero. You saved Mr Way."

I close my eyes. "I had to. He's important to a lot of people. Millions infact."

"But you could have died."

I scoff at that. "Doesn't matter. I don't matter."

"That's not true."

I look up to see who said that. Gerard Way was stood at the bottom of the bed.

"You matter." He said walking over to my side. He smiled down at me. "I owe you my life."

I blush. "Sign my CD, wherever it is, and we'll call it even." I say with a laugh. I groan and close my eyes as a pain shoots through my side. I put my hand over the pain and put my other hand on my forhead. "Note to self. No laughing until your healed." I whisper. Gerard laughs then grabs my hand off of my forhead. My eyes fly open in surprise. "You...err...shouldn't be doing that." I said as I looked at our linked hands. "I don't want to get on Lyn-z's bad side. She scares the fuck out of me."

Gerard laughs again, not letting go. Instead he squeezes my hand tighter. "Lyn-z won't care." He says. "We split up about six months ago."

"Oh god." My eyes widen. "I'm sorry."

He shakes his head. "No. It's okay. We just drifted apart. We're still friends though."

"Still, you don't have any kind of relations with fans." I protest. "I'm a big fan."

He laughs again. "You saved my life so I'll make an exception."

I close my eyes again. I feel a little tired. "I'm not a good person to be around." I say sleepily. "This world would be better off without me." Then I drift off to sleep.

Gerard's P.O.V

What does she mean by that? She's not a good person to be around? The world would be better off without her? Why? I looked down at her as she slept. She's so beautiful. Her blond, almost white hair laid out on the pillow, framing her head like a halo. Her silky, pale skin. "Why would she think like that?" I asked aloud.

"You don't know what happened to her, do you?" Dr Cox asked.

I looked up at him. "What do you mean?"

He sighed. "The whole of the UK know Venus Gardener." He states.

"Why?"

"Venus Gardener is the bad luck girl. Death follows her wherever she goes."
