ACT ONE, CHAPTER FIVE

tombstone ─── ( episode 6 )

ROSE AND JACK both sat at the map table. The young girl had been helping him use computers and search for cases while Sam and Dean had been out on another case. Rose looked down at her phone and read Sam's message that said they'd be back soon. "Sam said they'll be back soon." Rose read aloud as she typed back her simple response. Jack hummed in response, his eyes glued to the screen that sat in front of him. "Found anything yet?" The raven haired girl asked, hovering over his shoulder. "I'm not sure." The nephilim shrugged with a frown. Rose read over the article, there was not much to go on then again the brothers and her went out far more on way less. "Not much, but I mean we can still check it out when they come back." Rose muttered as she patted Jack on his shoulder.

The two days that the Winchesters hadn't been home, Rose had spent most of her time explaining and teaching Jack modern day things. She spent the entire first day teaching him how to use electronics and the second on modern day slangs and tv shows. Even though it was only two days, it was almost as if the duo had known each other their whole lives.

Jack perched up when he heard the front door open. Sam and Dean walked through with their bags. "How'd it go?" Rose asked, her eyes never left the computer. Both boys began to stutter, giving off a weird vibe. "What's wrong?" Jack and Rose said in unison, both of them lifting their heads to look at the Winchesters.

Sam and Dean moved to the side, revealing a very real and alive Castiel. "Castiel?" Jack looked up at the man in disbelief. "Yeah, it's me." Cas nodded. Rose stood in shock. She had a million questions to ask. It wasn't until Cas smiled at the dark haired girl when Rose walked over to Cas and her small arms wrapped around his large frame. "Glad you're back." She mumbled into his chest, before she pulled away.

"N-No. We burned your body, and what's burned stays dead. How..." Jack spoke up, looking at everyone in the room in disbelief. "Well, that's the question we've been asking." Dean said with raised eyebrows. "Jack, did you bring Cas back?" Sam stuttered. "I don't know. I wanted him back. I... begged for him to come back, but..." Jack mumbled. His gaze never left Castiel, almost as if the angel would disappear.

"Well, here he is." Rose grinned.

"Because of me?" Jack questioned.

"We don't know, Jack. But we think maybe." The younger Winchester mumbled. "Thank you, Jack." The young girl smiled as Jack walked over to Cas and hugged him. "I missed you so much."

"Sam and Dean tell me you're doing well." Castiel stated, both him and Jack pulled away from the hug. "I am. Watch this." Jack walked back to the table and levitated a pencil for a few seconds, a smile and laugh escaped his lips. "Wow." Sam smiled. "You teach him that?" Sam directed his question at Rose. "Yeah, took him a little bit, but he finally got it."
