You look down, "Buck..." you whisper. "I'm sorry! I just needed to get that out! I've been holding this back ever since I met you. I just needed to tell you." Bucky says. "Why not sooner?" You ask quietly. Bucky walks up to you, "you had a boyfriend and you seemed so happy. I didn't want to take away your happiness." "Then why did you find a girlfriend and propose to her?" You wonder. "I thought that was the only way to get you out of my mind. But as you can see, that hasn't worked." Bucky answered. "If you love me (Y/N), I'd be willing to do anything to make this work." "I love you Buck, more than anything. But I can't break apart a wedding." "I'm not going to marry her anyway," he grabs your hand. "Why not?" You ask. "When I was little, my ma told me something. She said that when I finally come to final decision of who to marry it has to be my dream girl; the girl that I truly love and want to be with forever. She said that if that were not the girl walking down the aisle, she'd be very disappointed in me. And right now, the girl who I want to be with forever is standing in front of me. She's not planning on walking down the aisle. And unless I call off this wedding, she will never get the chance to walk down the aisle to me." Bucky continues, "and we can't have that, now can we?" "No," you whisper as you both leaned in and share a slow and loving kiss. When you heard the door open, and Steve popped his head around. "You told her then?" He grinned when he saw Buckys arms around you, as you looked up to be Bucky grinning back. "Who else knew?" "Practically everyone in the tower." Steve says, as everyone came rushing in cheering, a chorus of "FINALLY" following.
