We started walking past a few students that were standing in the hall, talking to another. Of course, I was the one getting weird looks from the other people which annoyed me at this point. Why do people always have to stare at someone they've never seen before, I get that you're curious but you could just talk to the person instead of watching every step they take.

Cassandra and I just tried to ignore the people that were looking at us and made our way to the office to get my timetable. I was praying that me and Cas would have any classes together which we luckily had on some days. Right after the lady at the front desk handed me my timetable, I asked her "Is there a music room here that is free to use on breaks?".

"Oh, yes there is. You can use it whenever you'd like to, just don't break anything and put all the stuff back to where you found it, afterwards." she said smiling.

"Okay thank you, have a good day!" I replied, happy with the answer she gave me.

"Thanks, you too! And good luck on your first day."

I smiled at her and said "Thank you so much!". Then I turned around and walked towards Cassandra, who was standing near the door frame.

"And?! What classes do you have today??" she asked, filled with excitement and hope.

"Let's see...English...History twice, Biology and...art twice aswell. Do you have any of those classes?" I said nervously.

"Oh my god, we have English together but nothing else. Let me see the rest of your classes so I can check if we have anything else together."

I handed her the timetable and she sceptically looked around the sheet of paper. After a minute she said "Okay, we've mostly got English, P.E. and Chemistry together which is good enough I guess. And the best things is that we always have lunch together."

"Jesus, I expected an worse answer. I'm glad I don't have to embarrass myself at P.E. all alone then. Probably wouldn't be as embarrassing as eating next to a trashcan in the cafeteria because all the tables are full at lunch though..." I said, chuckling at my answer.

"Oh haha! You're just the queen of jokes aren't you? I would never eveeeer embarrass myself at P.E. or eat next to a smelly trashcan, even if all the lunch tables are full. I'd just sit down on one of the tables and wait for the people who are sitting around it, to leave so it's mine." she said grinning and we both started laughing at her weird solution.

I put my timetable in the pocket of my hoodie and we left the office to search for my locker, whose number was written on the back of the paper. As we strolled through the hallways we just talked about the worst teachers we ever had. Mine was Mr. Peters, he would always bring an electric kettle and tea bags to class so he could make tea whenever the break started. He was one of the most boring and slowest people I've met in my entire life and for some reason he thought it would be a good idea to dye his hair black. In the end it somehow looked blue, purple and black at the same time. Once he told us that we would get a better grade if we did some extra work, I did the extra work and never got a better grade...I still want to punch him for doing that. But we all were very very happy when he suddenly went into retirement.

Cassandra's teacher was weirder though, he was her primary school teacher in 4th grade. Apparently he always used to bring a cooling box with him to school, filled with yoghurts and mostly stuff you can put on your bread. He brought it with him into every classroom before any kind of break. She told me that he would bring a can of tuna to school, every Tuesday. That's why his students started hating Tuesday's and called it Tuna-Tuesday. The smell of tuna would be stuck inside the classroom he opened the tuna can in, for the rest of the day, sometimes even until Wednesday...I'm really glad that I didn't have a Tuna-Teacher like him.

After 5 more minutes of searching for my locker, we finally found it. Locker 263. I unlocked it with the code I was given by the Lady at the front desk and started putting the books inside that I wasn't going to need for today.

"We should hurry up, we only have 7 minutes left to get to class." Cassandra said as I zipped my backpack closed, shut my locker and locked it again.

I simply nodded and followed Cas' lead because she knew where the classroom was since she's been at this school for many years now.

Right when I turned around a corner I bumped into some random girl that was coming from the opposite direction. Two of her books fell out of her hands and she just looked at me with an angry expression. I picked up her books and handed them back to her and she just quickly grabbed them out of my hands.

"I'm sorry, I didn't see you..." I said, not knowing what her reaction would be.

"You better be sorry you stupid cow. Bump into me one more time and we'll have a serious problem." she said with so much aggression and hate in her voice as she walked past me.

In shock of what just happened, Cassandra grabbed me by the arm and pulled me after her. "Um...who was she exactly?" I asked Cas.

"That was Ellie Smith, she's the biggest brat at this school and thinks she owns this place. It's best for you if you stay out of her way before she actually starts terrorising you."

I can already tell that this girl is worse than any of those popular girls at my old school. Cas is 100% right, I should just stay out of her way. I don't want to know what she did to other that bumped into her twice...

"Here we are! Quick, get in before the bell rings and were actually late." Cas said slightly pushing me through the door frame and into the classroom with a lot of students in it already and a quite younger looking lady as the teacher. I could feel the students' eyes burtsting through my skin as me and Cassandra just stood there waiting for the teacher to look up from her papers at us.

She looked up and gave me a surprised but happy look. "You must me Miss L/n, right?" she said with a genuine smile on her face.

"Yeah, that's me." I quickly answered since I don't like getting a lot of attention.

"Welcome to the school then! I hope you will have a good start here and as it seems you have already met Miss Johnson. I'm Mrs. Cole."

"Thank you very much Mrs. Cole and uh...yeah I've met Cassandra on the way here."

"Very well, then. Go ahead and take a seat you two, the bell will ring any second now." she said and she was right, just a few seconds after she ended her sentence, the bell rang. Cassandra sat down in her usual seat and I sat down behind her and next to some guy since it was the only last free seat.

"Alright, so let's continue reading the text on page 38 everybody. Please open your books and start reading." Mrs. Cole said and I opened my book at page 38 and started reading the text...
