"Mom." I said walking down the stairs.
"Yeah."
"Can Riker come with us?"
"Um. I don't see why not. But."
Oh boy here we go with the buts and if and the when and the hows.
"But, you have to watch the baby."
Riker seemed happy. He was smiling.
"Fine. Where is she?"
"Upstairs. Now, I can go get a manicure and pedicure."
"Mom. Thats not."
"Ah ah. Boyfriend." She said grabbing her keys and walking out. She left, Riker and I are stuck watching Anna.
"Well. At least she didn't leave us with." He started saying when Dallas and Dakota came down the stairs.
"Look its Alex and her boyfriend." Dallas said.
"Shut up Dallas. One day you'll have a girlfriend and you'll get teased by Anna."
They left and I looked at Riker.
"Sometimes I wish I was an only child." I groaned.
Dylan came down. "Hey. I find that offensive."
"Love you Dyl."
"Yeah yeah. Derek's coming tomorrow."
"And I care why?" I said putting my chin on Riker's shoulder.
"Because. Mom is FORCING us to spend time with him. Thats the last thing I want to do."
"You and me both Dyl."
With that he walked away.
Riker and I looked at each other. I would much rather be with him.
"I don't want to see him, but at the same time I do."
"Why?"
"He's my brother, and yes he's hurt me, but family forgives. So, I have to forgive him."
"Then do I get you all to myself the day after."
"No. You get me after I spend my few hours with Derek."
"Thats even better." He said kissing me on the nose.
Anna started crying.
I held his and and we walked upstairs. I picked up Anna. Riker kept staring at me.
"What?"
"Nothing."
"Seriously what?"
"Your going to be a great mother one day." He said smiling.
I blushed as Anna reached for Riker.
"Aw. Hi." He whispered.
It made me smile.
"What?" He asked holding the little baby.
"Your going to be an amazing father someday." I said smiling.
He stood up still holding Anna. She was holding in to him, like her life depended on it.
"To our kids." He said.
It makes me "Smile" when he says stuff like that.
