(Josh above, just imagine his eyes are green) Ellie woke up the next morning to a gazillion texts. (That may have been an exaggeration) all from the one and only -drum roll please- Asher something.

What's your last name?

Ellie answered. Even though none of his questions had anything to do with that topic. Asher immediately responded.

(Asher in italics and Ellie in bold)

I don't think so missy!

What? What do you want then?

What do I want? A million dollars.

Haha. Seriously tho. What. Do. you. Want?

What's you favorite color?

What the heck? I asked you what do you want!

I WANT to know your favorite color.

Then will you tell me your last name?

Hmm... Let me think. No.

No? My favorite color is almost any warm color. Happy?

No, you still haven't told me your favorite color.

And you still haven't told me your last name.

Yeah, not gonna happen sweety.

I have a name you know, and you have a last name. 🤨

Do you want to meet at the coffee shop?

Smooth bro, real smooth.

I try 😊 so you in or not?

In I guess...

OK! Cya! Btw your totally getting pestered with more questions.

Right back at ya bro!

Why did she do that? Shed never talked to anybody like that in years. Ellie didn't want to go out in public. Or did she? STOP! Ellie was concerned she was going crazy.

First she had a human interaction, then she agreed to meet up with friends, and now she was going to a coffee shop with a guy she'd only met yesterday?! I'm just going through a phase. Ellie decided. Nothing else.

👉👉👉👉

When Ellie was about to ask her dad to take her, she first realised she had a car of her own that she got a year ago for her 16th birthday, but used in as little as possible because of the car crash.... And she also had no idea which coffee shop she was going to.

She was clueless.

After she asked where exactly she was going, she drove to the café. And that's where she was now, looking at the bright big sign on this rainy day.

She walked in the store and saw a head full of dirty blonde hair sitting at a lone table, reading a magazine. As she got closer, she realised he also had earbuds in.

Ellie quietly walked up behind him and got ready to shake him, when he turned around and grabbed her arms in a flash.

His eyes went wide when he saw who it was, and he instantly let go to pull his earbuds out, and brought her into a bear hug.

"Umm... Wasn't expecting that." Ellie laughed.

"Eh. Neither was I." Ellie stuck her tongue out at him and sat down when he pulled out the chair opposite of his own.

"So what's your favorite movie?" He asked with a smirk.

Ellie rolled her eyes and answered,"Hotel Transylvania 2." Asher looked like he was holding in a laugh. How rude, Ellie thought.

"Hotel Transylvania 2," Asher repeated. "you know that your seventeen right?" He said, smiling.

Ellie scoffed, "So. Just because I'm seventeen doesn't mean I can't still like kids movies." Then she realised," how did you know I'm seventeen?"

His smile faltered for a moment,"Just a lucky guess, of course." He smirked to cover it up, which worked, because his face was absolutely gorgeous! Wait what? She was definitely going through a phase, was what she told herself.

They continued to talk, her answering his questions, and he answering hers. At the end of there Q&A, Ellie brought the conversation back to the very question that started their day. "So what's your last name?"

He frowned and rolled his eyes and just looked at her, leaning on the table with his elbows. It was like he was trying to rip the question out of her brain with his unfairly good looks, but she wouldn't budge. When he finally realised this, he leaned back and sighed.

"Weppler. My last name is Weppler."

"Huh, Asher Weppler." He looked at her expectantly. Maybe waiting for something? Ellie thought. "Well that's a tongue twister."

He sighed, AGAIN, and broke eye contact. Then something in her brain clicked. Weppler. It seemed familiar to her, maybe just a common name. She inferred.

They decided to go down to the lake and just..... They didn't have a plan. Ellie and Asher just for SOME REASON decided to go to the lake. 😝

"What do you want to do?" Asher asked. They walked onto the boat dock. It had stopped raining by then, so they didn't need an umbrella.

"I don't know."

"Well I do."

Ellie turned around to ask "what" but her question was answered when he pushed her into the lake and started laughing. "Here, here. Here." He said crouching down and holding a hand out to help her out. But of course, like almost anyone would do, she pulled him in. Payback, Ellie thought.

He reached the surface and spat out some lake-water,"I don't know why I didn't expect that." His eye brows furrowed, as he concentrated on the water.

"You should know better." Ellie stated. She laughed and started backstroking toward the shore. Asher soon followed, and then they were both shivering at shore. Then they decided it was time to leave even though they didn't get there that long ago.

"Here." Asher offered his jacket which he had left in his car.

"Don't you need it?" Ellie questioned. He shook his head.

"I'll be fine."

He then took Ellie back to the coffee shop so she could drive her car home.

"I had fun." He said.

"So did I. More than you know." She answered.

She drove home with the radio on, and a small smile on her face.
