I drove to the Vinyard. No idea why Tyler picked that place. I guess we'll see. A few minutes later, he parked right behind my neglected car. I say "neglected" because I only use it when I have to, and today I had to because dad was occupied.
"Hey girl."
"Hi." I waved shyly, and stiffened when he gave me a hug
"Come on." I took his outstretched hand and let him lead me to wherever it may be that we are going.
Tyler was just a little too perfect. It was fun, yet hard to point out his imperfections. That's what made it so fun, it being hard, and that I couldn't find many imperfections in the person I was dating. Well I hope we're dating. Close enough.
He lead me up the lush hill, but I stopped when we got close to a rock we had to climb, that turned into a ledge. He gave me a strange look.
"Come on," he said, tugging gently at my arm, "we'll be alright Darlin."
He helped me climb the rock, encouraging me the whole way, and when I made it up, I did not regret it. You could see all the grape trees, the whole 26 acre field, and behind that was a lake with purple-ish mountains behind it, and the sunset just barely peaking over. Just to sum it all up, it was beautiful. And romantic, I might add. "So that's why you brought me here." I breathed. I don't think he eats me though.
"Tame a picture, it might last longer, he smirked."
I took my phone out and took about five gazillion pictures, growing more disappointed with each one because it couldn't capture all of the beauty the view displayed in one photo.
And then I was speachless. It was too pretty, and too fragile of a moment. I wished I could capture it forever, but a picture simply just didn't work, and I was a photographer for crying out loud.
"You know, right now would have been the perfect time to have a professional camera." I stated, referring back to the first time we met.
He looked down before saying, "Yeah, sorry I never got you another camera,"
"Its not your fault, and its not your responsibility to get me a new camera."
Right when I finished talking, he started talking, apparently eager to finish his incomplete sentence. "But I got you something else to make up for it anyways." Before I could speak, he pulled out a rose gold box from his pocket with a white ribbon bow sealing it shut. "This is for you."
I opened it carefully and gaped at him when I saw what was I side. Like I said, no imperfections.
I side the box was a beautiful necklace with a real rose gold chain, and a diamond heart hanging from it. "You-you didn't have to get me that." I stuttered.
He blushed, looking down. "I don't know you nearly as much as I would like to, so I want to get to know you more. And I've really started to like you Ellie. So I got you this."
"So what are you saying?" I asked.
"For now, were just too people dating, but in the feature," he looked me in the eyes. "I want to be more. Instead of a promise ring, I got you a promise necklace. I just want that to be a reminder of what we could be one day." He said, his eyes still looking deep into mine.
"I'll wear it every day." This made him smile.
"Good."
From then on. I sat in his armes wearing my new necklace, as we watched the sunset fade into the night sky, wishing the moment would last forever.

Eventually, like all good times, our perfect moment had to come to an end, and I had to drive home.
When I got home, I decided I'd done too much driving today, and walked to the cafe I stead of driving.
When I walked into the cafe, I wasn't only greeted with the wonderful smell of coffee, but also the beautiful smile I loved, yet dreaded at this moment in time.
I quickly averted my gaze from his face and sat at the table as far away from him as possible.
He saw me, and moved to a closer table. Then causing me to move to the furthest table from that. Then he moved closer, and I moved further. We continued our dance until he sat right Infront of me.
"Why do you keep moving away from me marshmallow?"
I pursed my lips ready to come up with another lame excuse. "Yourjeansareradicaldude." I quickly got up and tried to leave, but Asher was quicker, and wrapped his arms around me before I could even make it three steps.
"Nice try." He said, smirking."So what's the problem? Why won't you talk to me?" He asked now frowning, as we both sat back down.
The problem was, I didn't know what the problem was. I felt guilty in a way, like I'd somehow betrayed him.
"I don't know."
He blinked,"well your gonna have to give me more than I don't know Ellie."
"Their isn't really a problem." I said biting my lip.
"Well than good." He smiled tightly. "We should hang out more."
"Yeah."
"I mean it."
"Ok"
"How about after school on Wednesday?" Wednesday was short day so we had more time then we would on any other school day.
"Sounds good."
"Ok then marshmellow."
"Ok then."
