Elena and Caroline were throwing a party at Whitmore celebrating the death of Silas and Tessa and the return of Bonnie.
Bonnie was no longer a witch. She was a ghost, as the anchor to the Other Side, so she didn't have her powers anymore.
I walked into the library to see Stefan sitting on the couch, staring into the flames in the fire place.
"So, apparently, we've been invited to a college party," I told him. Stefan didn't move or speak. "Yeah, that was my first reaction, too. Then, Elena promised a bottomless well of top shelf alcohol. I sounded like an alcoholic, didn't I?" I walked closer, seeing that he was shaking, sweating profusely, his fingers digging into the chair's arm rest. "Stefan? You . . . okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine," Stefan said unconvincingly.
I looked at his tight grip on the chair. "How about my favorite reading chair?"
Stefan loosened his grip. "Just tell Elena thanks, but I'm not really up for a party tonight."
Stefan stood, walking out of the room.
I sighed, watching him leave.
I didn't bother going to the party because I knew it would be lame.
