Jace's P.O.V

I was starstrucked by the way I felt when my lips touched hers. I had been dying to do that for a while. Why wouldn't she let me kiss her more.

I was stting here on the staircase while my mind was focused on the red head. I hadn't felt like this in a while. I will make her fall for me. I fell alseep looking through the glass ceiling into the stars.

Clary's P.O.V (The next morning)

My eyes were adjusting to the morning sun. I then remembered that I had kissed Jace. I can't believe I let him kiss me. I betrayed David. I tried to ignore that while I changed into some sweats to train.

I put my hair in a ponytail and walked out my room. I was walking upstairs when someone grabbed my hand. Jace.

"Hello beautiful. Where you going?" he asked. I roll my eyes, "Nothing that concerns you." Then I walked you.

He didn't follow, but I knew it wasn't over. "Mind if I join you?" asked Jace who just appeared right in front of me. I look down the stairs then at him.

"How did you..?" I asked. "I'm just fast." he smirks. I push past him and enter the training room.

I didn't get much of a view last time I was here. Now I was able to see all the weapons here. I grabbed a few daggers and was going to do target practice to let off steam.

I was going to throw a dagger when my mind went blank. Then I suddenly saw a new rune. It seemed different. I saw it glow and then I was back in reality. I wonder what I'll need it for.

The room then began to shake. It was shaking a lot like an earthquake. Why wasn't anyone coming to tell me anything about it? Unless.....

No, it can't be. Not today. I ran for where the weapons were and grabbed a seraph blade. I knew I shouldn't have left Heosphoros in my room. I put it in my back. Then the room suddenly stopped shaking. I ran to the door and it wouldn't budge. I began banging on it, but nothing happened.

"I missed you at the Institute, sister. Why'd you leave so early if we weren't finished?" I looked and saw his black pupils staring back at me. Sebastain.

"What do you want Sebastain?" I gritted my teeth at him. He snickers, "I just wanted to visit my dear little sister. Took me a while to find you, but here we are. I need you to come back with me and don't try anything funny. I just need you and your special blood." I then saw the rune again. I reached for my stele and drew it on my forearm. He didn't notice and took out a dagger.

He reached for my arm, but I moved back and sadly, I hit the wall. He forcefully grabs it and was going to cut my arm. Once he reached my skin, it disappeared. I was shocked. It must be a shield. I knew that it would help me a bit.

This took Sebastain by surprise and I pushed him off me. I called my seraph blade and pointed it at him. He smiles, "You can't always count on your powers to protect you, Clarissa."

He was standing and I lunged towards him. He took out Phaesphoros. I gasp in fear. Seraph blades won't work, but this is what I became number one Shadowhunter for.

To kill my brother, once and for all.
