Goodbye Earth. [ hiatus ]

I whimpered under the force of the soldier pushing me away, He kept swiftly walking forward, and people had started watching us now. "Isn't that Saffron Maleroi...?" whispered one of the townsfolk, "My goodness it is..." whispered another. I stared at them strangely, they almost seemed to be scared of me. The soldier kept pushing me forward with the grip of his hand help tightly on me, "Hey!" I said as the soldier nearly touched my chest. "Oh, sorry sweetheart, I didn't mean..." he mumbled. I shrivelled up my nose and looked away, disgusted. We finally reached the soldiers arena, and the soldier that was holding me pushed. I held to my bag tightly to my chest and stumbled forward.

"Hey, you! Saffron isn't it?" I looked up and there stood a General. "Yeah," I mumbled "What's this for?" I glanced around the dirty arena. "Oh," The General grinned in a way, "Tradition I guess..." he shrugged his shoulders. "Chuck your bag into the ute," the General gestured to a truck. I threw my bag weakly into the truck and got into the front of it, where the General turned on the engine. He shut his door and started to drive away from the arena. "You alright? You know you are going to camp..." he looked at me for a second, nearly swerving across the road. "Right?!" I looked at him blankly, "Nope..." and my nose twitched. Silence was the only word spoken for the next several minutes.

"So, what's this... camp thingy?" I wondered aloud, and the General laughed at me. "What is the camp?!" He said, "Wow, you don't know much do you?" I nodded my head. The General spoke softly as if he shouldn't be sharing some information, "Well, you're becoming a space marine..." "A WHAT?!" I growled loudly at him like I didn't hear what he said, and then I looked out of the window. "Don't worry it'll be fine..." he whispered, "It'll be fine, IT'LL BE FINE!!" My voice grew louder as I figured out what he was saying. I spoke quietly as we neared something that looked like a camp, "So... I'll be training to be someone who looks for a planet that we can move onto... with scary monsters and other... things?" the General nodded his head but then spoke for the last time, "Be brave, Saffron."

We heard some loud banging on the back of the ute, and I opened the door. There awaited a whole group of soldiers, in front of a row of dormitories, "Come on Saffron!" one of them called. I jumped out of the truck and landed on the ground with impact. I stared at the soldiers for a few seconds and then I ran towards them. They all welcomed me with smiles, and one of them had my bag, one of the men gave me a clipboard with my schedule on it, and my dorm key. I smiled back at them, "Thank you!" I said shyly. I looked at my dorm key, it was number, '6AS' I started wandering between the rows of dormitories until I found '6', It was the last row of dormitories.

When I found the door to the dorms, I opened it and I found myself in a long hallway with doors on my right and left with lots of different letters. At last I spotted my dorm and I ran to it with my bag gripped in my left hand. I knocked on the door lightly, I was surprised when I heard a lot of rustling and whispering behind the door. And after a moment of silence the door was opened with a loud noise, "Oh, She's here." whispered the girl at the door to the other people in the dorm.

I tried to look inside but it was too dark to see their faces, when I was trying to peek in a surprise shook me, one minute I'm looking inside and the next second someone is hugging me. "Oh, Hey Saffron!" a girl greeted me with a large grin, "I'm Emily." Another girl emerged from the room and she smiled at me, "I'm Caitlyn." She said shyly and finally two more girls rushed out of the room, giggling, they looked like identical twins, "I'm Lizzie!" said one, "I'm Billie-Rose, but call me Billie or Bil." Giggled the other. I laughed, "And I guess you know my name, but if not, I'm Saffron." I held out my hand for the twins to shake, they each grabbed one hand and shook it harshly.

They welcomed me inside, and Emily showed me my bed. "Here it is," she said with a smile and she took the bag from my hand and threw it up onto the top bed. I looked around the room a bit, and looked at all the detail in the dorm, I was a very observant person.

The room started off with the door, it walked into a room with a table and five chairs, there was a couch and an old TV, air-conditioning, a fridge, cupboards, and 3 bunk beds with one spare bunk there was just enough room for one more person. I walked into the bathroom, and it seemed much nicer than the one at home. There were 5 toothbrushes, a shower, two sinks, a towel rack with 5 towels, and one toilet. I was awoken out of my wandering when Lizzie and Billie found me, "Okay, Saffron, we have a challenge for you. You need to guess who Lizzie is and who Billie is." They said in unison.

I remembered when I first met them, Lizzie was saying Hello to me on the left and I noticed a freckle on her right earlobe. "Mmm, Tricky." I quickly looked for the freckle, and found it on the twin on the right. "That's Lizzie." I pointed and Billie and Lizzie pouted. I laughed, making new friends was great, and I could understand them better now.

Caitlyn called out to all of us, "Come on you guys! Let's go show Saffron around!"

oml, I love you guys so much. I've been through so much lately, exams, breakups, feeling really depressed, and the stress of assignments. I feel like you all have left me, and I'm sad because of that :c

But I might find a fresh batch of lovely followers someday if you guys hate me so much ; o ;
