Chapter 1

Caden padded around in a circular motion. 'Where is she? She said she'd be here atleast five minutes ago...' A slight rustle came from the bushes and shrubs behind him. He twirled around to see who it was.

Out emerged Mella from the leaves. "Hi, sorry I was a little late, I had to bring someone with me." Her tail flicked in annoyance.

Caden cocked his head to the side. "Oh?" He paused as he took a few seconds to look around him. He looked confused. "Well, who is it..?" He questioned.

Mella rolled her eyes as she stepped aside for someone to emerge from the bushes.

Caden didn't hesitate to ask questions. "I-is that your sister?" He eyed her, hoping she wouldn't notice.

Mella's ear flicked. "Yes. This is Redina, my sister. She's the same age as you..." She gave Redina a stare, acting as a cue to say something.

Redina was spacing off as she snapped back quickly into reality. "O-oh, right." She cleared her throat. "Yes, I am Redina, Mella's older sister." She paused as she looked at Caden. "You're Caden, it appears. Mella won't shut her large wordhole about you." She snickered as she snuck a glance at Mella behind her.

Caden managed to get a laugh or two without Mella noticing. 'I don't get why Mella doesn't like her sister...' Caden's voice in his mind rang. 'She's really funny... And... Attractive...?' His mind kept an emphasis on the 'Attractive' part. He quickly shook off the thought and snapped back into the real world. He looked at Redina again, and then back at Mella. 'Me and Redina are the same age..?' His mind traveled back to when Mella informed him that the two were the same age. 'Wow... She's- No. Stop overthinking more than you should.' Again he went back to reality and took a few peeks at Redina, then kept his gaze on Mella.

Mella, being overdramatic, scoffed at Redina's joke. "Yeah, yeah whatever." She regained her thoughts. "Her and I were gonna go out for a walk, maybe you'd wanna tag along?" She proposed her question.

Caden looked at Mella, who's eyes were sparkling looking at him. He was a little overwhelmed, and then he looked at Redina.

Redina caught his stare and smiled at him, a friendly and kind smile.

His body felt hot as he looked at Redina. He gathered up his thoughts and the heat surging through his body died down to a stop. 'She's got a really pretty smile... No. Mella's is better.' Then he looked at Mella again. 'Maybe not as pretty, but b-better... Yeah.' He sighed. "Yeah, I'll come along. I might as well take time to get to know Redina better." He shot a quick glance at her, too quick for her to acknowledge it.

Mella nodded as she padded away onto a path. "So, what have you been doing tonight?" She asked Caden.

Caden shrugged. "Y'know, just chilling I guess, I dunno." He kept up along with the two she-wolves. He looked at Redina, who was really small, smaller than Mella, who was the younger sister. "Uhm... Might I ask, R-Redina, why are you so small..?" His inner voice laughed. 'Really? What an asshole you are. You could've worded it better, let alone nicer.'

Redina just laughed. "Ah, y'know, I don't know why I am so tiny. Compared to you, or even Mella, I am a tiny loser." She didn't seem offeneded, and she really wasn't.

Mella grumbled. "It's because the angels wanted to curse you, and that's why nobody really talks to you." But Mella lied. More wolves talked to Redina then Mella knew.

Redina didn't really seem offended, but Caden could tell it hurt a little. His ears lowered a little as he bent down to near Redina's size. 'What's happening?! I-I have no control over my body..!' He looked at her and said. "Don't know what Mella's issue is, short wolves have the best personality..." He winked at Redina and looked away faster than he had before. 'What the fuck, what the fuck. What. The. Fuck. Dude, what did you just do?' He felt his body get that pulsating heat rushing through his veins. His body couldn't help but take a few glances at Redina again. His eyes caught her cheeks redding a little. Then his eyes caught Mella, who hadn't looked back yet.

Mella's tail flicked in an irritating manor. "Well, it seems you two are being awfully quiet back there..." She then spun around to see what she should've expected to see. Just a Redina and a Caden.
Her eyes squinted and she shrugged. "Well, I'm happy you two are getting along..." She paused. "Y'know, I'm tired, and the sun is setting. We should head off Caden." Her tail flicked, beckoning for Redina to follow.

Her ears flattened a little as she glanced up at Caden.

Caden gazed at her. "H-Hey, um. Maybe we could hang out...? Whatever day is fine, I'm always open..." His hushed voice told Redina, making sure Mella couldn't hear. "Y'know, so we can get to know eachother better...? Mella probably won't let you go, so she doesn't need to know..." His tail swished around.

Redina shrugged. "Yeah. I'd kinda want to get to know someone like you a little bit more." She smiled, but it wasn't a friendly smile. It was more of a... Loving smile. "How about tomorrow? I wanna get to know you faster." She blinked.

Caden couldn't believe what his ears had just picked up. "Y-Yeah, tomorrow works, just come whenever you want..."

Mella grumbled. "C'mon, you slow bitch... I don't have all day..." She mumbled.

Redina smiled. "Ok, got it. So... I guess this is goodbye..? For now." She blinked.

"Yep, bye..." Cadenpaw turned away as he started heading back to his den.

Redina nodded as she turned back as well. She caught up to Mella and started walking back to their den.

Mella shifted around. "So... What did you think of Caden? Isn't he the best guy any girl could have?!" She awed.

Redina scuffed her paw in the dirt. "Y-Yeah, he sure is a charmer..." She felt her face heat up. He really was a charmer.

Caden blushed as he thought about Redina. 'Tomorrow! I can't believe it. It'll be just us, me and her!' He felt something though, that something would have to end for something to start. 'Wait... Does that mean...?' His eyes widened in surprise. 'Maybe... Mella... Isn't for me. Maybe...' His mind trailed off. 'Maybe I'm meant to be with Redina...'
