Part 3: Feather on the Clyde

            Pagkatapos ng seremonya ay tumuloy na ang lahat sa kalapit na open area para sa reception. Nagagayakan din iyon ng napakaraming bulaklak at mayroon pang nakalagay na white screen kung saan salitang ipinapakita ang mga pre-nup pictures nila.

                 Isang masagana at masayang hapunan ang pinagsaluhan ng lahat. Nagkaroon din ng mga nakasanayang ritwal sa kasal. Ang pagsasabit ng pera, pagpapakawala ng dalawang puting pating at bukasan ng regalo. May inihanda ring speech ang ilang miyembro ng kanilang pamilya at mga kaibigan.

            Kalaunan ay nagpalit na ng simpleng bestidang puti si Marniel at puting polo at pants naman ang kay Danris. Nasa gitna sila ng pagsasaya nang muling nagsalita si Danris hawak ang mikropono.

            “I just want to thank you, guys for coming. To my wife’s family, Mom, Dad, thank you for the support and thank you for giving me the chance to be a part of your wonderful family. To my parents and Ate, salamat din for coming and for being with us in this very special and precious moment of our lives, to our friends, thank you so much. And to my little wifey here, I love you, sweetheart. I prepared something for you.”

            Biglang nagliwanag ang screen and then flashed the presentation Danris made himself. Muli ay naroon na naman ang rumaragasang emosyon kay Marniel. Sino ba naman ang hindi masusorpresa sa ipinapalabas? Those are her photos and video clips taken years ago arranged in a song entitled Shower Me with Your Love.

            “You liked it?” pabulong ni Danris sa kanya habang nakabackhug. “So much. Salamat. You kept those pictures talaga?” “Of course! Araw araw kong tinitingnan ang mga yan, Love.”  “Thank you,” wika ni Marniel na hinarap ang asawa at kinintalan ng masuyong halik sa mga labi.

        They danced together. Hindi alintana ang mga taong nasa paligid nila. They were dancing not only to the music that plays but with the sound and rhythm created by their heartbeats na silang dalawa lamang ang tanging nakakarinig.
