Chapter 4: Sleepover

Melody was the last one to make it to Charlie's dorm. She was wearing a llama onesie and simple white slippers. This made her recently dyed hair stand out from her fully white onesie. She'd never seen Charlie's room before. He had a Harry Potter themed bedroom and his own "wand". His room actually looked pretty good. Melody sat down on the carpet with everybody else.

"So, what are we gonna do?" Kai asked. He was wearing a white tank top and some black joggers with socks. He had had his hair down too. Melody never realised how long it was until now.
"How about drink or dare?" Amari said. "It seems fun." Amari was the model student type of girl and Melody didn't think for one second that she'd be the one to suggest underage drinking.
"Guys, are you sure this is a good idea?" Maggie asked, a bit worried.
"Would I bring it up if it wasn't a good idea? I'm the smarter one out of all of you."

It looked like the odds were against Maggie. She gave in and let Charlie go to the school kitchen and try and find some beer and cups, and actually came back successful. Why would they have beer and red cups at a boarding school?

"Okay guys pour yourself a cup each and begin." Charlie said before filling up his cup. Everybody did the same. "Okay, I'll go first. Melody, drink or dare?"
"Drink." Melody said before drinking out of her cup. Her throat felt like it was burning almost, but she was in front of everybody else and she couldn't spit it all out. She finished what she could and then chose Kai. "Okay Kai, Drink or Dare?"
"Dare!"
"I dare you to go up to one of us in the circle and give them a peck on the cheek."

Kai chose Sami. He crawled towards her and kissed her on the cheek. Sami began to blush a little bit.

"Okay Rastel, Drink or Dare?" Kai asked. Rastel just drank out of his cup on the spot. "No comment."
Rastel was up next. "Charlie, Drink or Dare?"
"Dare."
"I dare you to tell us something almost nobody else knows."

Perfect.

"Well," Charlie said. "I heard Mr Bianchi talking to a man on the phone yesterday about killing off students."

The room went silent. Amari left the room and said she had something to do.

"Shouldn't we tell one of the teachers?" Sami asked.
"We don't have much evidence to go off of apart from that one thing Charlie told us he heard." Melody replied.
"So what do we do?" Kalila asked while fiddling with her shirt. Melody had never seen her so nervous before.
"I'd never thought that I would ever say this but...I agree with Sami." Kai said, sounding as if he were ashamed of himself before chuckling.
"Hey! For one, what do you mean you'd never think you'd agree with me. I'm probably one of the sensible ones here. And two! This is now time to be joking around! Charlie could help us solve the murder before another one happens with what he just told us." Sami told Kai and was probably about to go on a full on lecture about what she just said before she was interrupted.
"Well we have to find out more, don't we? I'll go find Amari." Rastel said whilst getting up. "You guys can stop the sleepover. It's way past curfew and we're meant to be asleep by now."

He walked out of the door.

Amari was in the headmaster's office and was trying to persuade her to let her join the investigation. She kept on refusing.

"Please, just think about it." Amari said before walking out the door. She pulled her hair back out of her face and sighed.

"I know you want to do it Amari."

He was here... It was him.
