Chapter Ten

"We're back!" Andrea and Gabe walks in.
"Hey guys." I greet them.
Andrea runs up and hugs me tightly.
"How was your night?" Andrea asks.
"Interesting." I tell her. "I'll tell you about it later." I continue.
"It's good to see you again." Gabe smiles at me.
"It's good to see you too." I smile back.

Andrea kicks her high heels off and sit down.
"Do you mind if Gabe sleeps over tonight? I told him he could but is it okay with you?" She asks.
"Of course! I don't see why not." I say.
"Thank you so much." Gabe strokes my hand.

I pretend like I didn't notice because I thought he did it by accident. If I thought he did it on purpose, I'd catch feelings or something.

"No problem." I say.
"You should watch a movie with us tonight." Gabe insisted.
"Yeah! It'll be fun." Andrea added.
"Ok ok, it is a weekend." I agree.

"What time are you planning on watching it?" I ask.
"It's 8:45 pm now so maybe 9:00." Andrea replies.
"Ok I'll pop some popcorn." I insist.

As I pop the popcorn in the microwave, I see Andrea pulling out some cozy blankets while Gabe turns on the movie.

He is so cute in that shirt. I shouldn't think this but it's so hard not too.

"Are you guys watching a movie?" Kyle walks out of his room.
"Yeah, why?" Andrea asks.
"Sick, I'm watching too." Jumps onto the sofa.

After the popcorn is ready, we all sit down and start the movie.

40 minutes in I feel Gabe as he rubs my hands. Then he links my fingers with his. We literally only met today. I look at him and he looks at me. I notice that Andrea is really into the movie and Kyle was sleeping, half off of the sofa. I'm guessing Gabe noticed too, he probably wouldn't have made a move if they weren't. He puts his finger to his lips and said "shh."
He didn't want me to say anything. I kept my mouth shut.
I don't know what to think.

"You are the cutest." He whispered in my ear.

I smile and look away. Andrea looks over and Gabe pretends like he didn't do anything.

"Anyway, I'm gonna head to bed." I said.
"Ok, good night boo." Andrea said.

I lock my door behind me. Gabe was flirting with me. We just met I would want to rush anything.

I hear a knock on my door. I walk over and open it, there stands Gabe.
"Can I help you?"
"Could I get you're number?" He asked.
"I guess.."
He pulled out his phone as I told him my number.

"Ok thanks." He said.
"Yeah... don't mention it." I reply.

I close the door, my heart up in my chest. I am really starting to regret giving it to him.

——Later that night——

I am awakened by my phone buzz. I got a text. I look at it.

Gabe: Hey, this is Gabe

Chloe: wth do you want? It's 4 am!

Gabe: Yeah ik But I needed to ask you something

Chloe: can't it wait until tomorrow? I'm half asleep

Gabe: it could but I'm already texting, aren't I?

Chloe: fine, ask your damn question

Gabe: did you want to go on a date with me tomorrow night?

Chloe: seriously? This is your 'important' question that couldn't wait until tomorrow?

Gabe: Yeah

Chloe: Goddammit Gabe. Fine, I'll go on a date with you but for now, I'm going back to sleep

Gabe: sweet dreams

Chloe: Yeah, it was until you woke me

Great. I'm going on a date tomorrow. Andrea's gonna hate me when I tell her that I have a date with her cousin.
