A few days later...
Kokichi's P.O.V
Jeez~! This basket is so heavy! It was stacked high with dirty laundry. I could barely see over the tower of clothes! Especially since I'm smaller than what you'd consider "average hight." I was asked to take this to the garden, we're they wash and hang the clothes. Though I was about to give up, because I was barely keeping my grip on the basket.
It was hard to see where I was walking, 'cause of the huge stack of clothes blocking my vision! So I just hoped I wouldn't bump into anyone, that would end not-so-well~
I had almost reached the door to the garden, but the Spirits of the Damned decided I hadn't been tortured enough. Before I knew it, I basically rammed someone with my basket, resulting in both of us falling to the ground. The basket flew up into the air, and fell right on me. Landing on upside down on my head. The clothes had been flung everywhere around me.
"Shit~!!!" I yelled. I just fell onto the cold, hard floor. Landing in my butt, and hardly holding myself up with my hands. I could see much through the bin, that was once filled with clothes. It covered my eyes, so I couldn't see who I ran into. "Crap, I super sorry!" I quickly apologized.
I slowly took the basket off my head, with a smile on my face from laughing at myself out of embarrassment. "I hope you-" I cut myself off before I got to finish my sentence.
I was not ready for what, or who, I saw next...
Shuichi's P.O.V
I got up from the dinner table, I had just finished my breakfast, which meant I had an hour or so before I had to go to train with Kaito. I decided to head to the garden, it was one of my favorite places in the castle to hang out. So peaceful and calming it was. I could just sit there for hours and not get bored. I grabbed my sketch book and headed off.
It had been a day or two since I had gone into town. Nothing major had happened in the castle as well. It had been quite these past few days. My Uncle was still a little pain, nothing new there. Me and Kaito have been training of course, I told him about what happened at the village with the stranger. He said I was to kind for this world, trying to make people's day like that. Though, I'm definitely not as wonderful as he makes me out to be.
The fastest way to get to the garden is going through one of the side halls, and entering the door going to the porch of the garden. I was half way through the hall by now. I was sketching in my note book. I always had a nack for drawing in general. I've done it since I was a child, my mom would teach me, heh-
I was almost to the entrance to the garden. I wasn't really looking were I was going. Busy drawing in my book, not watching my steps. Then BOOM, I collided with out something, or someone, out of the blue. It took a bit for my brain to comprehend what was happening, but as my bottom fell hard onto the ground. My brain recollected itself, and I finally realized what just happened.
"Shit!!!" The person said, it looked up to the poor human I had just rammed. They had a basket sitting on there head, upside down. I kind of wanted to laugh then, but it would be rude. So I kept myself together. "Crap, I'm super sorry!!!" The, strangely familiar, voice said. I had just noticed all the clothes that had fallen out of the basket.
I started to gather it to put it back in the bin. I looked over to the poor guy sitting on the ground, he slowly began to take the basket off his head. "I hope you-" The person stared, but had cut themselves off.
I felt like if time stopped for a few moments. He held the basket up with his hand, making his face visible. They boys face was frozen, with a smile plastered onto it. He was staring straight, into my eyes. His face quickly changed to one of confusion. I could see his curly purple hair peeking through the bin.. That smile, it's-
It's the boy front the village.
He works here?! This was undeniably the same boy, for his hair, too his smile. What if he reports me to my Uncle?! What if he tells him about me sneaking out! I...I need to calm down. I can reason with him, right.
"You're...You're the guy how bought me the muffins in town, right~?!" He questioned.
I wasn't sure how to respond, so I stayed silent for a while...
Kokichi's P.O.V
It-It was him!!! It was undeniably him! Shu, he told me his name was. I didn't know much of his appearance, since he had that cloak and scarf covering most of him. His eyes though, I remembered exactly what they look liked. A gold-gray tint, they were so pretty, wait- That's kinda gay. Ehh, whatever, that's not important right now~!
I fully took the basket off my head now. The boy stayed silent for a bit, he clearly did not want admit it. He didn't look like he worked here. He was wearing way more fancy clothes than most of the workers wore. They weren't as dirty and torn as our clothes. Was he royalty or something. Hold on, what did Kirumi day the Prince's name was, Shuichi? Wait, "Shu" "Shu-ichi." My brain connected one-and-one together eventually. He was the Prince?! What was he doing in town? Why was someone like him being so kind to me then?! So many questions are going through my head right now.
"Wait, are you the Prince?!" I said, not trying to shake him up to much. He looked nervous, like, really nervous. "Ye-Yeah..." He eventually replied. How was this possible?! Was it coincidence, or pure fate? "A-Are you going to t-tell the king I snuck out?"
What? First off, I didn't even consider the fact he might have snuck out. I thought he had the choice to go in and out the castle. That's, kind of sad he's trapped in here. Well anyways, why would I rat him out like that~? He literally bought me muffins, when he didn't even have to. That would just be overall jerky.
"Uh, no of course not! You bought me those muffins, when you could've just walked away not had done anything. It would be an A-Hole thing to rat you out like that~"I reply back. He slowly got up m, and started walking over to me. He took the bin out of my hands, and put the clothes he had collected into it. He held it with one hand, and reached his other out to me. I grabbed his hand, and picked myself.
"Thanks, it wouldn't have ended well if my Uncle, or, 'The King' found out about that..." He eventually looked down, to see that we were still holding hands, I hadn't even noticed it. We quickly disconnect our hands, slightly embarrassed. "I'm super sorry for running you into you and accidentally pushing you. The least I can do to make it up to you is carry the bin of clothes to your destination." He offers.
"Oh, it's fine. I can carry it myself," I grabbed the basket out of his hands, "You probably have better things to be doing, right? Like being feed to be in bed our whatever~" I wasn't trying to be rude or anything, I just didn't want to take up his time. "That's not-Wait, I have training with Kaito soon-!" I here him mutter to himself.
"Huh?" I asked confused, he had, training? Like fighting training? I didn't ask any questions though. He seemed as if he was late to whatever this training was. "I, have to get going. I'm super sorry! I'll make it up to you somehow. What if, we hang out at the garden tomorrow?" He was really determined to make it up to me. Well, I think I can take a break at least one time during the day "Um, sure. What time?"
"How about, five a'clock?"
"That works. See tomorrow then I guess~"
"Y-Yeah, see you tomorrow!"
He scurried off, to where he was going. Cute...
Okay, I need to stop thinking about him like that. I mean, I just meet him. Whatever, I'll just push those thought out for now. Looks like tomorrow wouldn't be so boring after all~——————————————————
