[four] before sm + part of training history

Hua was just a regular kid. She never knew what she wanted to do. What she did know is that she looked up to her brothers. It has been two years since Johnny debuted and 3 years since Minghao had.

Hua just turned 16 when her adoptive parents told her about her birth parents. That summer, she spent in China with them. The girl loved her birth parents but she loves her adoptive parents. She decided to stay in the states to finish her education before officially moving anywhere.

She was supposed to go to Beijing Dance Academy like her brother's groupmate, Winwin or Dong Sicheng. Hua graduated early and so she went to college in Beijing.

During this time, NCT's only girl member Byul was filming Idol Producer. Johnny asked Byul to kept an eye on Hua for him and that what she did. Hua and Byul become really good friends within a short amount of time.

So being in Beijing for a year, she realized she wanted to do but was too scared too. She finally auditions for SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and YG Entertainment. It was just to get exposure. Not thinking about it, she never expected all of them to accept her.

It was September 3rd, 2018 when she got the email. She even flew to Korea for the 2nd round of auditions. She was indecisive on what company to pick but she ultimately choose SM because she wanted a chance to see her brother a little more. Hua was already in Beijing in her second year studying, she didn't want to leave her studies so instead, she trained at SM China.

That weekend, Hua flew to Korea to workout her contract. Since she still wanted to be enrolled in her current school, SM allowed it. It was only because Victoria Song and Dong Sicheng were from there. It also saves SM from teaching Hua dance techniques.

The following week, she got her schedule. School classes in the morning and training at night. It was hard for Hua. A college student and a trainee. There were many times Hua wanted to call it quits but she didn't.

During this time, her college and SM thought it was a good idea to expose Hua. She became a dance mentor of Qing Chun You Ni, Idol Producer Season 2. It was winter break for Hua. Since she didn't have classes nor any filming yet, she trained. This time, SM told her that during her winter break, she'll train in Korea. Hua was really happy about it because she'll get to see both of her brothers.

Byul didn't want Hua to be staying in a trainee dorm because she was a friend, so Hua stayed with Byul. It was a good experience for both of them.

December 20th was when SM told Hua she was debuting in WayV. She just assumed it was another girl group. But upon meeting the members, she found out it was a boy group. The company did it again, putting a girl in a boy group. She meets all 23 members of NCT and kind of bonded with them.

December 21 is when the members of WayV started practice with Hua. Hua was really late to be put into the group so she quickly just learned the dance routine and her lines. She never really bother to talk with the members because she was honestly scared of them.

It took a couple of days but Hua finally talked since they meet the first time. Hua bonded with the other NCT members then the actually WayV members. Maybe it was because of Byul and Johnny, but luckily there is no awkwardness.

During their debut, Hua struggled a lot. She would have to practice by herself as she still attends her college classes and filmed Qing Chun You Ni. The members felt bad for their girl members. So when they finally debuted, they decided to give her mini gifts. It really touched her heart so all the gifts are in her room.

After the second year of school, Hua dropped out and decided not to continue her dancing education since she was focused on being an idol. With a lot of busy schedules, Hua wanted to not stress herself out a lot.
