Chapter-3

"Bah! Ki mishti dekhte, (wow! she is so cute,)" Trina said with Tulika was feeding her daughter

She is only one week old now.

"kar mei dekhte hobe to (you have to see who's the daughter she is isn't it?)" Tulika said with a smile

She kissed her baby's head and her daughter smiled.

"so what will you name her? It's one week that she is born," Trina asked

"Mahasweta," Tulika replied

"huh? This is so old fashion name. Why don't you name her something new?" Trina asked her

"Mahasweta is a writer's name who was born in the era when women had no freedom but still she wrote many books in, short stories and translated many books. She has fought for tribal people as well. She wrote letters for Illiterate people in English in exchange for little money for her survival. She is an example for every woman. I want my daughter to be strong like her. " Tulika replied

" my decision about educating you wasn't wrong I can see it. Perfect name for your daughter. But I will call her Mahi. Mahashweta is a long name. "Trina said smiling

" Trina someone has come to meet you," a girl from the brothel said.

" I'm coming," Trina replied

" I'm coming back after meeting the visitor," Trina said and left

" what are you doing here?" Trina asked him

Once she left them alone Tulika stared at Mainak in anticipation.

"Tulika I know you are scared for what I did and thinking what I'm doing here right? I'm here to take my child with me Trina told me it's a girl." Mainak stated

"and why do you think I will give my daughter to you? It's my daughter only you have no right on her." Tulika said without any fear or hesitation

Mainak was angry on her for talking back but he has to calm himself down because anger will only worsen the situation.

" and you want to make your daughter a prostitute like you? Who warms every men's bed? "Mainak played his emotional card

" no my daughter won't be like this. I will give her a normal life. She will live like other normal girls. "Tulika said

Tulika took deep breaths and decided to say yes. It was good for all

" ok, then you can take her with you. "Tulika finally said and Mainak mentally smirked

Finally, his emotional drama worked. Now his son will get his sister. He will give the girl to his wife she can do anything with her.

Mainak told this to Trina and Tulika also give her consent. Trina wasn't shocked she kind of expected it. She knew Mainak can manipulate well.

Mainak took Mahi and give money to Trina. Tulika was also free from there. He gives her money so she can start her new life. He wasn't sympathetic towards her he only wanted to get rid of her...

"you're only my son's sister nothing else I won't accept a daughter like you ever," Mainak said to little Mahi who's a life changed for forever
