To make me feel less worried Daniel and Ryan dragged me to the auditorium for a movie night. Ryan texted Sel to come down there as well. I have been instructed not to go outdoors for the timing. And I believe the reasons are pretty much obvious.

I have watched enough movies with the female protagonist getting kidnapped in the alleyway, mall and other places when she wanders far from her friends. Therefore home is the safe heaven for now.

"What are you guys watching?" Sel's voice bought me back.

"Blank Screen?" Ryan replied her still looking ahead.

"Not the obvious you dumb ass. What are you planning on watching?"

"I thought you said, I quote, 'What are you guys watching?'" Ryan retorted and in return Sel groaned.

"Why is he even here?" Sel asked with frustration clear in her voice.

"Because I want to?" Ryan replied looking at her.

"But I don't want you to be!" She fired back.

"Sorry to tell you, honey, this world doesn't work according to your want. Especially not mine." He said giving her a sarcastic smile.

"Really. If you did ask me, I would say you would take a bullet for her." I said. Still staring ahead at the blank screen.

"Shut your nonsense you...you...old lady!" Ryan screeched. I rolled my eyes at that.

"Really! That's the best come back you had." I said facing them. And as expected to see both of them red-faced.

"Enough now all of you. Decide on a movie." Daniel's voice came from the other side of the room, where a shelf full of DVDs stood.

"Are we seriously going to watch a movie?" Sel asked frowning.

"No genius, we came here to play dark room." Ryan said rolling his eyes.

"Nice idea." Sel clapped with sudden enthusiasm.

"What? I was just saying sarcastically. " He frowned.

"Well stupid your nonsense gave me a better idea." She smirked.

"Hey!" Ryan yelled offended at being called stupid.

"So let's play dark room." Sel said clapping her hands together.

"That's childish." Ryan's frown lines seemed to be digging deep on his face, making his face look hilarious.

"Childish games are the best way to relive your past happiness." Countered Sel. Got to say she did have point.

"Whatever. I am out." Ryan continued stubbornly.

"I am in." I said.

"So am I." Came Daniel's voice from beside me.

"Seriously man!" Ryan asked looking at Daniel. In return he just shrugged.

"Fine let's play dark and dingy." Ryan muttered. Then suddenly his eyes lit up with child-like amusement and continued.

"Let's play in teams of two. The team that loses will be drenched with whatever the winner team wants them to be in."

Me and Sel looked at each other. We grinned.  Thinking of all the possible things that we could pour on them.

"Will do." We chorused.

"I feel this is going to end really dirty." Said Daniel as he shuddered at the thought.

"Say the rooms allowed." Sel asked.

"Let's continue playing in the basement area." Ryan answered.

"Till the count of 50." I said.

-----------

"....48....49....50" The den was ours. We moved silently, light on our feet. Me and Sel glanced at each other and silently indicated for splitting up to hunt them separately.

The basement area consists of 5 rooms in total. One is the auditorium. Then comes the storeroom. The other two I am not sure what it is for, but I believe I heard that one of them is supposed to be the gaming zone. And then comes the last room which I heard everyone is afraid to enter during night time because it just too scary to be in there.

It would be the best place to hide according to me, but you would have to be a strong heart for that, or you would have to be someone who knows about this house really well.

Is Daniel a strong-hearted person? I almost snickered at that thought. In our last encounter with the lizard, he almost broke the glasses of his windows due to his scream. So did you, therefore you are no better than him. Ignoring my subconscious I continued. Does he know about this house from scratch? Yes he does. So he might be hiding there.

I slowly approached the door to that room. Trying to be as quiet as possible I entered the room. The screeching sound that I was hoping for was not heard at all. Good for me. I smiled to myself but almost died of fright when the old curtains of the room whipped due to the strong wind. I almost miss took it for someone flying past.

Damn I am scaring myself right now. Looking at the room I am regretting coming in here. The hair on the back of my neck stood making me paranoid of every little noise that I could hear.

Suddenly the vase on the nearby table went tumbling down. A scream got stuck in my throat. It looked the same like in those horror movies I would pick up the vase and see... No Alex wake up, stuff like those happen only in movies. The character is just dumb enough to go to the ghost. So nothing will happen when I go to pick the vase up, right? And I believe you are no smarter.

Gulping I do the dumbest thing like in movies and bent down to pick the vase. My eyes  wandered on their own towards the darkness under the table......

"AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"
