A/N: Part two to 'Lay Off, Morgan' I don't think there will be anymore direct sequels to this but I might use this series to explain how you both met in future chapters, y'know what I mean? I know I don't make sense... Often. Anyways, enjoy the chapter.
You sat on the reception desk of the empty trauma unit, reading a magazine. Fairly boring day but that's a good thing in your line of work. A few broken and sprained bones that you didn't even take care of. Two of your coworkers argue about stem cell research, you tuning in and out, being a fact checker (Because you're the that doctor who knows everything) and rarely giving input. This is usually what happens on uninteresting days.
Your phone buzzes and you shift to see what it is.
"Is it that FBI agent you're in love with?" Amy, you're work (and out of work) best friend teases.
"Ye- Shut it, Amy!" You argue, laughter erupting the empty ward.
Genius: Morgan got shot. We're coming over now. Brightside to this is that I'll get to see you.
You: Flatter won't get you anywhere, agent. Where'd he get shot?
You respond before barking orders, confidently getting your coworkers to get things to treat a gun shot wound.
Genius: Who said I was trying to flatter? Grazed his right side but the bullet is lodged in his arm.
"Prep OR 7!" You yell, shoving your phone in your pocket, watching the nurse scurry away to meet your demand. Though if given the chance to, you would punch Morgan for the trauma and fear of demanding loud voices (something you used to be able to withstand) you'll put it aside for his health. And for Spencer's sake...
The doors crashed open as you broke away from your thoughts of how you could ruin Derek's day just a little more other than being shot.
"Male, 33, black-" The paramedic starts listing off Morgan's condition.
"I know, I know! OR seven," You tell the nurse who took in charge of pushing his gurney. Derek looked like he was in a decent amount of pain. Maybe you could decrease his pain meds by just a little, causing discomfort but no pain.
"Good luck!" You hear Spencer yell.
"You believe in luck?" You question turning around to face him. He looks quite adorable with his FBI vest over his sweater vest and nerdy get up.
"N-No... But I believe in you!" He salvages. You smirk and turn around, trying to hide the blush that probably stained your cheeks.
Amy appears beside you, walking to the OR room with you (as your assisting surgeon).
"He is so into you.. You guys hang out a lot, right?" Amy questions, fulfilling her nosy tendencies.
"Y-Yeah," You accidentally confess, memories of coffee and library dates and Doctor Who marathons. "Stop asking about my personal life at work!" You fire at Amy who just laughs in response.
Timeskip (Sorry I do that so much)
You walk into Morgan's hospital room, all of his teammates dotting across the room, it was nice how loving and supportive everyone was, like a family. Spencer looks up at you from his book and smiles, before looking back down at it.
You reciprocate it, but mostly to hide the evil grin of seeing Derek in just enough discomfort and Amy, following through to her promise, putting the morphine machine just out of reach for him.
An older guy in a suit stands up and holds his hand out for you to shake, he perfectly matches the description of Hotch. Spencer was great at describing his colleagues.
"Aaron Hotcher. Dr. Y/N L/N I presume?" He says politely with a smile, which you return and nod. "I've heard great things."
He glances down at Spencer who has the smallest blush attack his face, keeping his eyes glued to his book. You calculated that he could read a good page of words in about 4 to 5 seconds. He's been looking at the book as some diversion or alternative or... Something. You don't comment on it, he does it when he's distracted you think.
As soon as Aaron sits down your attacked with a big hug.
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry! You sweet, sweet girl.. I was the one who gave the team the information that led to your false arrest. I'm so sorry," The girl says, definitely no other than Penelope Garcia. You awkwardly stand there, trying to control your breathing, you truly hate hugs with a passion. "I'm Penel-"
"Garcia, Y/N hates hugs," Spencer your double lifesaver declares. She let's go, thank god she complied. At least her perfume smelled amazing.
"I'm sorry! But how do you hate hugs?" Penelope asks extremely concerned.
"They're tight and make me feel trapped and uh childhood trauma you probably know all about from deep research on me," You ramble awkwardly as she looks at you with sad eyes and Spencer looks up at you with concern and wonder.
"Well she rambles just like Reid" Two girls say at once. JJ and Emily Prentiss who look at each other in amazement that they thought and said the same thing at the same time.
"Did you know that theres a 0.1% chance of saying the same thing at the same time as another person?" You say as Spencer opened his mouth to say, probably the same thing.
Everyone looked at you like your nose started to flash red like Rudolph. Spencer smiles broadly.
"D-Did I say something?" You say, eyes darting around the room full of people.
"Female Reid 2.0..." Prentiss mutters in horror as Morgan, who's stayed suspiciously quiet during the whole conversation groans, everyone looks at him, confused.
"Two things. My arm hurts like hell and when Pretty Boy marries her we'll have two genius' on our hands," Morgan sighs, jokingly. Laughter erupts but you and Spencer desperately look away from each other a blush attacks his cheeks and probably yours.
"Also can you please up my morphine or whatever, doc?" Morgan says looking up at you.
"I recommend to never piss off your doctor, agent," You sassily respond, him with his mouth slightly agape as you don't move a muscle to up anything.
"L/N! Bus accident! 22 injured! We need your ass!" Amy yells from some different part of the ward. You don't have time to pay your goodbyes so you rush out the room, white coat trailing behind you like a superhero cape.
"Smart and sassy. I like," Prentiss says chuckling once you leave the room.
"She's perfect..." Spencer says as he watches you leave, the team smiling at the lovesick genius.
A/N: This wasn't anything special, just you meeting the team and low key torchuring chocolate thunder. I hope you guys enjoyed it. I'll leave you with this, maybe to talk about in the comments (but at least share it with me!) What's your favorite nickname that Garcia calls Morgan? Maybe the funniest? Can't lie chocolate thunder might be my favorite. ♡
