*Janae's POV*
The week goes by really quickly, a couple people asking me about the court case but nothing crazy. I can't wait for Saturday to come and it does. When I wake up I see its 10 o'clock so I decide to pick out my outfit. I pick out a burgundy dungaree dress, black tights and black boots. Then I go into the bathroom and do natural makeup with a red lip. I then curl my hair before getting dressed. I take some photos in the mirror and then I go downstairs for breakfast. By this time it's 11.
'I like your dress Nae, you excited for today,' Lisa says turning around from a chair by the kitchen table.
'Oh uh yeah, really excited,' I say walking over to give Lisa a hug.
'You know the boundaries right,' Chris asks.
'Yeah mom, I know,' I answer smiling at her before walking over to the toaster and putting a poptart in it. We start talking about other things as I eat my breakfast and then I realize I have to start walking to Jonah's house.
'Oh crap, I gotta leave,' I say grabbing my phone and my jacket, even though it's winter I don't need a big coat.
'Okay honey, have fun,' Chris says giving me a hug.
'Yeah, have fun tell me hoe it goes,' Lisa says also giving me a hug. Lets hope these aren't the only hugs I get today, I think as I walk out of the front door.
I get to Jonah's house in about 10 minutes. I take a deep breath before knocking on his door. He opens the door in a grey t-shirt and light blue ripped denim jeans. He gives me a hug as we walk into his living room. His mom sees me and turns to talk to us.
'Hi Janae,' Jonah mom says 'My name is Anna, I'm Jonah's mom.
'Nice to meet you Anna,' I say giving her a warm smile. She smiles back and walks back into the kitchen. We walk over to some shelves where there are a ton of DVD's.
'So which movie do you wanna start with,' Jonah says lowering down onto his hunkers so the movies are at his eye level.
'Uh how about the Philosophers Stone,' I say looking at the movies.
'The what?'
'Oh uh the Sorcerers Stone,' I correct myself 'Its called the Philosophers Stone in Europe.'
'Oh cool,' he says picking up the DVD and putting it into the DVD player and walking over to the couch. I follow him and sit beside him. We sit down and the movie starts. As the movie continues we get a little closer every little bit and by the end of the movie our legs are touching and he puts his arm around me. I lean into him a little bit and we both smile. Then the movie finishes and Jonah gets up to turn the TV off. We go back to how we were before Jonah stood up and then someone who must be Jonah's sister walks into the living room and starts laughing. Jonah tries to shoo her away but doesn't move from me because he can feel me tensing up, he knows I don't like meeting new people.
'Hey, I'm Alice Jonah's sister,' the girl says.
'Hi, I'm Janae,' I answer.
'You guys are cute,' Alice says and Jonah gives her a dirty look. She flounces her hair and walks into the kitchen.
'Well that's Alice, she's 19,' Jonah says sighing.
'She's nice,' I say tilting my head up to look at him
'I have another older sister and an older brother,' he continues 'Jason is 17 and Adriana is 15.'
'I don't have any siblings, but I've always wanted a little sister,' I say. We continue talking about our hobbies and stuff and then I realize the time.
'Crap, I gotta go,' I say standing up.
'Aw okay,' Jonah says standing up and walking me to the door. He gives me a big hug at the door and then I start walking home. As I'm walking home I recount everything in my head, I'm getting so excited but trying not to look excited so I look normal to people walking past.
I get home and journal everything that happened.
