High School Scandal

I feel like xxWhoAteMyCookiexx converted me to the other side, the "dark" side. I read her story starring Giovanni and Hunter, apologies, and Nicky, first, and then went on to read High School Scandal, which I fell in love with. There's just something about Derek, I mean, clearly Evan understands; the way she's described their interactions doesn't make you feel like it's awkward going from best friends to boyfriends, instead by reading every thought the characters are feeling and by witnessing their love grow, you just want to pull out all the stops to make the wedding happen. Derek is just so clueless about why he does what he does but still continues to protect his best friend from homophobes regardless of also trying to persuade Evan to watch straight porn with him. The details of every scene were so on point, my mind didn't have any trouble conjuring every scene as I read. The story is filled with action as well as the comedy and romance, set in yet another American town where your friend's dad casually walks around the house cleaning his gun- sorry excuse the British. When this story came out on Wattpad, it was amongst the first of boyxboy fiction on the site, to my knowledge, I think that's what makes it that much more special to me, it marked a change for better. Even if you're here for strictly hetero, I urge you to join us on the other side, it might be what you've always been looking for, if it's not your thing you can leave anytime- I sound like a cult leader, Aaron Paul circa 2016. 

But, honestly, I understand people have different tastes, however this is the story you can treat as a dipping pool before diving into the likes of Queer As Folk. The story is a teen romance provided the cast look like they belong on the cover of GQ and also the reason I can no longer look at Nate Archibald the same but be creative if these are points that inhibit you from reading this hilarious work of fiction, I promise it'll be worth it.
