Episode 1. An old friend.
1834 America. A flashback begins in a dark night, a woman and a man both aiming guns at each other, she threatens to kill their daughter, the guns fire, the woman misses, she falls dead. A middle aged man sits before a judge, accused of murder, the judge says that he is disappointed in the other, the judge tells him there's nothing else he can do, the judge declares that the other has three days to kill the hermit, or be hanged, the man accused of murder was a former sherif in the town of greysford. The judge asks the multitude of people to leave, the judge asks the man if he has anything to say, the other offers no response, the judge tells him that he recommends gathering a team to accompany him in the cave, reminding him how potentially dangerous the hermit is, he had been murdering anyone who enters. The man agrees, the judge nods and calls for the guards to take him outside, the guards guide him to the door; the man walks down a dirt road and considers everything that happened, he was told that the same officers that came to his house had also encountered the hermit, one of the officers died that day, the man is disturbed by the subtle coincidence and walks into a bar, ignoring the deathly stares of locals. He sits and considers his daughter, how she may have said something wrong to the officers the day before, he assured himself that it isn't true, suddenly someone starts scolding him, and blaming him, the chiding man tells him that his wife deserved so much better than to die in cold blood, the man mocking him tells him he could do better, mocking him, the other man cocks a revolver at the mans chest, (if I've already killed one.. What difference would it make to kill another?) The other man spits and backs away slowly, the man remains seated, he then sighs and leaves the bar, he is tailed by two bandits. He goes to a stable to reclaim his horse, leaving the town to view the cave. The man sits before a fire, he slowly loses hope of winning back his honor as he thinks to himself, he didn't murder his wife, but it was made to seem so. From behind a rock, a mysterious man appears out of nowhere as his hand wanders across the other mans horses neck, he stands up and aims his gun at the figure, the man explains, he is an old friend, the man shoots at him but the bullet is absorbed in his forearm and his own gun is shot away after, the mysterious man says he is here to help him, and begins explaining the hermits two powers to control minds, and change cognition. The mysterious man begins to walk toward him, he then tells the other that he needs to find his power, so he can fight against whatever evils are in that cave. The former sherif lowers his head in sadness, he ends the conversation by saying, (Either way, I can't make it out of this alive.) the mysterious man lays a gun in his hands, he tells him there is nothing more he can do. The mysterious man leaves and whispers to himself, (Watch, why'd you have to send me to one exactly like me?) the former sheriff stands, aware of another persons presence, he snaps into action after seeing a nearby rock explode, he throws down a smoke bomb to blind his opponents, he ties a rope to the side of a rock, when the smoke clears, the man is holding one of the bandits by a rope, pointing his new gun at the other, the battle was over. The next scene proceeds to have the three sitting by a fire, the man explains that he needs their help, they tell him that they had came because there was a bounty on his head, and because he was a murderer, the other looks at them in subtle sadness, the two men looking at him angrily, he kneels down, and unties them both, he confirms with them that he is not a murderer, but whether that is true to them they have to decide, he confirms his claim by telling them of his honor and respect for the people around him, (I'm not a murderer, but I'm after someone who is, I need both of you to help me..) He explains to both of them who the hermit is and they agree to help; the three observe the cave from a distance, consulting their options, and thus, the tale of life, death, and friendship begins.

Episode 2. The power to heal.
The three observe the cave, the man stands and considers everything that has happened to him recently, his framing, the officers death, whoever the hermit is is more than just dangerous the man thought. He turns over to his comrades, we need more help he says. The other two tell him something they where afraid to say earlier, a bounty hunter was sent after him, they tell him his name, Elijah Watch, the man tells them both that they need to head back, They leave towards town. The three sit in a bar, he tells them his plan as they tell him about the bounty hunter, supposedly he was an honorable man, the man tells them he plans to face him, he walks out of the bar, the other two complain that they don't even know the mans name whom is putting their lives in danger, and that if he dies out there they all die, due to him being guilty of murder, but the man assures them that he will succeed, and that he will tell them his name tonight, oddly looking into the future. He steps outside to immediately see a figure covered in leather clothing, holding a sixth shooter revolver. The two stare, they read each other's eyes but are constantly changing their aiming area, the man considers that his opponent has no intent to kill him, they keep cycling aim, the man becoming worried by this and gets ready to make his move, they both fire, they both miss, the two stare at each other, seconds pass when suddenly Watch says, (there's no way your a murderer.) Watch proceeds to release a knife, so as to fight the man, they walk towards each other and begin to attack, the man defends himself while the other lays a beating on him, the man dodges the attack moving out of the way and throws a blinding grenade, the man attacks Watch amid the smoke by reading his movements, they fight and both lay heavy hits on each other, the man knocks the knife out of Watch's hand, Watch punches the man with even more strength, the man can't protect himself and is knocked nearly four feet away from his assailant when suddenly Watch flies through the air, he was tied to a rope that connected him to other, the man punches Watch in the chest, knocking him on the ground. Watch tells him he can trust him, and tells him that his reason for attacking was to test who he was, the former sheriff had apparently passed the test, They both speak of friendship and trust and the man discovers that Watch came to the town to kill the hermit as well. They both stand and shake hands when suddenly a bullet flies into Watch's back. The man, shocked leans beside Watch as he falls to the ground, he signals the others to go after the sniper. The man panics as he tries to seal the wound in the others back, he manages to pull out the bullet, but he starts to despair, believing he will bleed out, the man sees someone a few meters behind him, it was the same man that had told him of his powers, the mysterious man nods at the other. The man suddenly feels courage and asks God for help as he plunges his hand into Watch's wound, suddenly he feels the wound healing as he lifts his hand out. The man is filled with hope as he hears his breathing go back to normal, the man sighs in relief, he looks where the mysterious man had been, he was gone, he helps Watch up as they converse about their assailant, he supports Watch as they begin walking to find the others. John and Marston run after the armored man, they chase him to the back alley of a building, they both shoot at his chest and back, but their assault fails, the man they where after was wearing body armor, the armored man turns around, pulls out his shotgun, and begins to fire back, the brothers are pinned down due to his barrage of fire, the armored man lays down fire using one arm, as he pulls out his rifle and shoots the lock to the door behind him with his other, he enters, and points a gun to a woman's head, he holds her hostage, over the counter, the armored man looks around, he realigns his aim and requests all the money from the barber he had entered, and to keep the others from entering with threat of the woman's life. John tell's Marston to go to the second floor of the building to corner the man, he runs to the other side, climbs a stairway, and busts through the window only to step on the floor into a flurry of gunfire from the floor below, Marston falls groaning in pain after being shot in three areas. John hears it happen, he stands, considers the pain he endured from robbers as a child, and promises to not let that pain become a part of this town, he steps out of his cover towards the armored man, John relies entirely on his brother to shoot at the perfect moment, John considers that he will likely die if his brother fails, all these things race through Johns mind, as he runs towards the armored man.
