Stokeley never really liked Chance. Ever. He didn't understand his always positive mindset and love for god. It was quite annoying. Although his best friend Jahseh and Kyle were known for being 'positive' it wasn't as bad as Chance was. But for some reason, instead of saying no to hanging out with him after Sunday service; he said yes.

So here he was at a park with Chance.

"You know it's such a lovely day, I'd wish you would just smile or something." Chance said as he fixed his '3' hat. Stokeley glanced at him and rolled his eyes. "You sound like my fucking mom." He muttered. Chance frowned and positioned himself in front of Stokeley. Stokeley was sitting on top of the picnic table so it was a bit awkward. Chance took his hat off and sighed. "You know, on the lords day I think this will be my only opportunity to confess this." Chance said and Stokeley looked at him confused.

"Fuck you going on about nigga." He dead panned and Chance held his hand up to stop him from taking any more. "For quite some time Stokeley, I've had suppressed feelings for you. I don't know what it is about you but I can't help it. I really like you." He said and Stokeley's eyes widened. Never in a million years did he expect for Chance to say he has a crush on him. He didn't even think Chance was gay. Stokeley tugged on his durag and gave Chance a skeptical look. "How you know I'm gay?" He asked and Chance shrugged. "I don't which is why I'm just jumping at the opportunity. I know the risks of this situation." He said honestly and Stokeley didn't know what to say.

The more he thought about it the more it made sense. Chance was always around him, being overly nice, making sure he was good for school. Basically being the best friend he could possibly be and Stokeley considered that annoying. He felt guilty for being so mean to him. And if we're being honest Chance was way too attractive to be even having feelings with someone like Stokeley. He'd expect Chance to date someone like Donald or Vince, not some stoner who sleeps in all his classes. Chance stood waiting patiently for Stokeley's response, he wasn't worried. If Stokeley doesn't like him then he doesn't not everything is meant to go his way. Stokeley kept thinking about the cons and pros of considering a relationship with Chance.

Chance is a good guy, so drama isn't going to be a thing with him. He's also one of the most popular dudes at the school who knew people loved a religious music nerd. He had a nice body, face, actually the more Stokeley thought about it the more it started to make sense. Stokeley isn't one to hang out with people who annoy him, or who he doesn't like. Maybe he tolerated Chance because he has suppressed unknown feelings for him? Stokeley looked at Chance; who gave him a kind smile and Stokeleys heart actually fluttered. That's some shit he hasn't experienced since he dated Darold. "Um." His words faltered for a bit as Chance looked at him with a hopeful look. Stokeley sighed and stood.

"Fuck it, I guess we can see where this goes." He said and Chance practically beamed with joy. His smile stretched from ear to ear, Stokeley feared the poor boys face was going to get stuck like that. "Wow okay! I was really second guessing myself, everyone was saying you don't like me but I didn't want to believe them. I wanna hug you. Can I hug you? Is that okay?" He asked and Stokeley couldn't help but crack a smile at Chance's puppy dog likeness. He nodded his head and opened his arms. Chance ran into his arms and held him close. His hat got knocked off and Stokeley managed to catch it while laughing.

He wrapped his arms around Chances torso and rubbed his back as Chance buried his face into Stokeley's chest. Stokeley wasn't going to lie, this whole moment was bringing the soft out of him. They seemed to stand there in each other's embrace for ages when Chance finally let go. He took his hat from Stokeley and fixed it on his head. "Would you wanna go get something to eat?" He asked and Stokeley rubbed his stomach; the thought of food was giving him flashbacks to when he was severely over weight. "I could use a salad." He agreed and Chance grinned. He started walking and Stokeley jogged a bit to catch up with him. Before Chance did anything he looked at Stokeley and spoke.

"Is it ok if I hold your hand?" He asked quietly and Stokeley intertwined their fingers without saying anything. "If we're gonna be boyfriends you don't gotta ask to do stuff unless we're having sex. Basic stuff like this I'm cool with, hug me, hold my hand whenever. Whatever makes you feel comfortable ok?" Stokeley explained to Chance as they swung their hands back and forth. Chance smiled and bit his lip as he looked down. His face was hot as hell. "I feel like such a total bottom." He mumbled and Stokeley busted out laughing. Chance chuckled along with him as Stokeley wipes away at his eyes. "Nigga you are too funny without even trying. It's amazing." Stokeley complimented him and Chance felt himself cheesing.

"You're too kind." He said with a small wave of his hand. Stokeley snorted and shook his head as the couple kept walking.
