Bloodstained the grass, as corpses of comrades laid sprawled out across the forest floor. Truthfully it was a horrid sight. But the great copy ninja was a little preoccupied with not becoming one of those corpses. No. He had every intention of making it out of this predicament and going home to the hidden leaf. Maybe after returning reread makeout paradise.

THUD! He was thrown back into one of the many trees. An unbearable spark of pain shooting through the Hatake's back as it made contact with the base of the tree, completely knocking the wind out of the shinobi.

He gasped for air, trying to refill his lungs. But it seemed futile. They burned. Everything hurt. His back throbbed just as his head did and his vision was going blurry. He could barely make out the figures of the eight enemy shinobi that surrounded him. Kakashi couldn't even control his own painfully trembling body. It seemed to be giving out on him. Not much of a surprise, as wounds and bruises covered him from head to toe and he had over-exhausted his left eye. The eye that had been gifted to him a long while back, felt like it was on fire much like the rest of his body did.

Hatake refused to give in. He pushed himself onto his hands and knees, moving to stand up only to struggle and tumble back onto his knees letting out a yelp of pain still gasping for air, trying to catch what little he could. Moving even an inch only seemed to be met with agonizing pain. What was he gonna do? Maybe he could use the last of his strength to pull off one last Chidori to take out a few more enemies, though that would lead to his chakra depleting completely and killing him, he only had so much left. Was it worth it? Well, he'd rather go down fighting than just wait to be finished off.

He gritted his teeth and attempted yet another time to get onto his feet, this time more successful than the last attempt. Using the base of the tree as support. Glaring off at the enemy before him, blood seeping through his clothing and dripping down his forehead.

"Looks like this is the end of the line for the great copy ninja," One of them taunted, only gaining a faint growl from the so-called copy ninja. Just before Kakashi could even build up the slightest bit of chakra to his hand, the room went dark. His body just collapsing under itself. He couldn't move anymore. Everything was dark. He was losing consciousness and his senses were beginning to dull. Was this it? Was he finally gonna be reunited with Minoto Senesi, Rin, and Obito? Was he gonna be able to see his father again?

Kakashi shouldn't be thinking like this, he shouldn't be. But he couldn't help but to. The idea of seeing them. Of seeing Obito. His best friend. He almost willingly accepted death. Just as he was slipping, just as he was letting the cold darkness engulf him. Screams broke through the air catching the copy ninja's attention. 'What was that?' He couldn't will his eyes open. Just barely clinging to consciousness, his senses were dull but still existent to the point where he could just barely make out the sounds of rustling and faint screams. 'What the hell was going on?'

It was getting colder. It was hard to do anything, his body was limp. He couldn't move! He was dying! Suddenly, Kakashi felt warm. 'What?' His weight was lifted off the ground. Was this what death was supposed to feel like? No. This wasn't it. Something grazed Hatake's ear, sending a shiver throughout his body.

"What a mess your in Kakashi. How disappointing. I thought you could hold your own," A voice teased. To Kakashi, It was faint but he could still make it out. He didn't know who this was, and yet something about his voice was familiar and relaxing. Why? "Just rest Dear Kakashi," And just like that, before the copy ninja could even try to find out who's voice this belonged to he lost himself. Falling out of consciousness.

"Ugh," Groaned the silver-haired male, as everything started to sink in. The overwhelming soreness and pain he felt were practically unbearable as he started to regain consciousness. His throat felt raw, pain lacing every flinch of a muscle. To make matters worse, his stomach rumbled angrily.

Slowly he opened his right eye, glancing around at his surroundings. He was tempted to open his left eye, but the Sharingan that resided in his left eye burned and ached so he decided against it and just focused on finding out where he was to which he found that this wasn't the forest. No. It was a room, only lit by the sun that shined through the window to his left. A part of him was just hoping that he was in the hidden leafs hospital. But that didn't seem to be the case. It didn't look like any hospital room he's ever been in. Slowly the shinobi used the palms of his hands to sit up, his muscles screaming in agony from the movement but just pushed past the pain, resting up against the three pillows now under his back providing it some support but still made the male quite uncomfortable.

He was on a bed. A very comfortable one at that. The thought of the room being his own room, was out the window. Nothing was all that familiar about the room. The decor was different. When he said different, he meant there was barely any, the only thing that really stood out to the shinobi was the chair off in the corner but thought nothing of it.

Kakashi let out a brief sigh, as he lifted up a hand rubbing his face groggily and grumpily. His mask was still in place, but it seemed that his headband was missing. Instead, bandages were wrapped around his head. That wasn't the only thing. His green vest was missing. The only thing he had on was his undershirt and sweat pants. "Where am I?" Kakashi asked aloud, his voice hoarse. Feeling as if someone had decided to rub sandpaper up against the inside of his throat.

"Seems like your finally awake," That voice. The same one he heard before losing consciousness. The stranger containing the voice appeared around the corner of the doorway stepping into the room. Into Kakashi's line of sight. His face was indescribable as it was hidden behind an orange mask that swirled into a hole opening that allowed the man's right eye to peer through. What Kakashi could make of the eye, was that it was a Sharingan that stared directly at him.

Who was this? Were they an Uchia? The only bloodline that possessed the so-called Sharingan. He possessed one of his own. But was gifted to him by an Uchia he cared deeply for. More than he'd be willing to admit. So who were they? And why did they feel so familiar? His brows furrowed as his eyes narrowed at the stranger though it wasn't as if Kakashi could really defend himself if they were to attack him. Not in the state he was in.

Upon further inspection, Kakashi picked up on other details of the person's appearance. Raven-colored hair and a long cloak that stopped at his ankles. A rag that was thrown over his shoulder and in his gloved hand was a bowl filled with some sort of liquid unknown to the copy ninja. Questions swarmed the silver head's mind and was readying to start asking them aloud when the stranger approached him, pushing the leaf shinobi onto his back earning a pain-filled gasp from the silver head. Along with a glare from said leaf shinobi, shifting to try and sit up once again.

The stranger's hand carefully gripping the copy ninja's shoulder, keeping him in place much to the copy ninja's distaste.

"Stay still," Ordered the stranger but Kakashi wasn't someone to take orders from some stranger though at the same time. Kakashi wasn't in the most ideal situation. He could barely even move. Well, guess it was just time to play smart. Letting out an abrupt huff he relaxed as best as he could keeping his eyes on the masked man that towered over him.

"Good," The masked man commented briefly, grabbing a chair that was off in the corning of the room and resting it next to the bed's side. Setting the bowl filled with liquid on the bedside table. After completing all those actions, he sat down and grabbed ahold of the silver head's arm, lifting it, and unraveled the bandages that were wrapped around Kakashi's forearm. Showing off a long laceration that traced the shinobi's forearm.

Looking at it, only made the pain all too real causing his body to tense up. Something the masked man didn't miss. He pulled the rag off his shoulder, carefully setting down Kakashi's arm down for a brief moment to dip the rag into the bowl of liquid, making the fabric wet and damp. Kakashi carefully watched as the masked man wrung it out, using the rag to clean up the laceration.

A hiss escaping past his lips at the contact. Creating a stinging pain that shot up through his arm, much to Hatake's displeasure but tried to remain calm and relaxed. Sucking in a deep breath, he continuously watched the masked man clean his wounds and then rewrap them. Until he finally stopped, looking down at the copy ninja with quite a piercing gaze.

"Turn over," The masked man ordered once again. Though this time, his voice showed more softness than earlier. But first Kakashi wanted answers.

Quickly he sat up, so abruptly it made his back scream in pain. 'Holy fuck'  Hatake's thoughts cursed, letting out a small grunt to mask the urge to scream himself. "No. I want to know who you are first before I decide to turn my back to you," Kakashi managed to get out, his throat aching and throbbing. But pushed it aside. Ignoring the splintering pain that resonated throughout his body. Surely the shinobi was quite bold to be demanding that the stranger 'introduce' himself, while in such a wrecked state. But the Hatake just glared at the mystery man, with confidence and determination keeping his guard up even around someone who the silver-haired male assumed to be the one that saved him from death.

The man that sat in the chair just watched Kakashi calmly and pondered. After a few moments of the two males just eyeing each other. The masked man gave in, letting out a sigh and lifting his hand to the orange swirled mask that rested on his face. Pulling it off.
