I was trying to protect you

We arrive at a house 10 miles out of the city and we are welcomed by a waiter. "Good evening, Mr Klaus, Mr Elijah, Miss Beatrice, your meal is about ready to be served, please make yourselves at home and enjoy." I roll my eyes, "Fat chance in that happening." Elijah looks at me, "Sister please, let's try to leave here in 100% condition, I know you don't want to be here, but neither do we." I nod and we take a seat and 2 minutes later someone walks in.

"Good evening, remember me?" He asks, "I'm sure if we knew who you were, it wouldn't be as awkward." Klaus says, "I wouldn't speak too soon, after all you did leave me in a coffin for 900 years." I smirk, "Hello Finn." He smiles, "Beatrice, my darling little sister, it has been a while." I nod, "So it has." He sits down next to Elijah and Klaus glares at him. "Why are you here Finn?" We all look curiously at him and he laughs, "Brother, you think I would miss our family reunion, not a chance." I look to Elijah then Klaus, then back to Finn. "I thought mother invited us to this dinner, so here's a question, where the bloody hell is she?" 

"Sister please language, and as for mother she will be here shortly." I smile, "Good, cause I have a few things I would like to say to her." He nods, "So anything exciting happening?" He asks, "Nothing that concerns you." Elijah states. "Well that's a shame."

We look up and mother walks in, "Hello children." Finn automatically stands up, whilst Elijah, Klaus and I stay seated, "I must say you haven't changed." I smile, "Immortality tends to do that to a person." She fources a smile and sits down, "Well aren't you happy to see me?" Klaus laughs, "Of course not, you are the woman who took everything away from us."

"I wouldn't put it like that." She states looking up, "How would you state it then?" Elijah asks curiously, "I was trying to protect you." Klaus looks at her, "From what?"

"Death."
