'What am I gonna do?' Nick Wilde thought to himself as he sat in the back of the police car. He had no one to bail him out of that was even an option with the trouble he was now in. Finnick would be found and brought to jail with him. He had lost connections with his mom years ago. His older brother had dissapeared not long after Nick had started hustling.

Then an idea came to his mind. It was a long shot, but he was going to the ZPD. The least he could do was try," Excuse me officer?" Nick said," May I ask you a question?"

"You just did," Judy said, looking at the road.

"Come on, seriously."

"What do you want?" Judy asked.

"There wouldnt happen to be a 'Judy' working with you would there? I dont know her last name, only the first."

The bunny raised a brow and looked at the fox through the rear view window," In our precinct, I am the only Judy. Why do you ask?"

Nick's eyes went wide," You really havent figured it out yet, have you? But, I guess me being a fox could come as a shock anyway. No one expects a fox to be the nice guy."

"What are you talking about?" Judy asked.

"You said you watched me all day?"

"That is correct."

Nick then said," Then you know my profession, i sell an assortment of things, including popcycles and lumber. Dont take it the wrong way, Carrots, but you are a dumb bunny."

The car then came to an immediate stop and Judy turned around quickly with a shocked expression," N-Nick?"

"In the flesh," the fox said," Look, you have every right to take me to jail right now, and i will not fight it. The only reason i asked about you was because if I'm going to the ZPD anyway, might as well let the mammal i have fallen in love with know the real truth about me, as long as an explanation for why i wont be calling for a while."

Judy was silent then said," Ypure in love with me? We finally come face to face in the worst way possible, then you tell me that you love me?"

Nick chuckled," Well, seeing the situation we are in, I guess the feelings aren't mutual?"

Judy looked down," Nick....I dont know what to say."

"Cant say I blame you, Carrots. I fucked up. This is what I get."

Judy tried to reach for the gear stick to put the car in drive, but...shecouldn't. Her body wouldnt allow it, or maybe it was her heart controlling her actions. Judy got out of the car and opened the back door," Get out of the car, Nick."

The fox stepped out confused," What are you doing?"

"Turn around."

Nick did as he was told, and Judy took the cuffs off," I guess I can understand why you wanted your species a secret. Also, why you wanted your identity hidden."

"Well, the identity thing was because of the sote," Nick chuckled," Carrots..you dont have to do this. I dont want you to get in trouble."

"I never radioed in about what happened. I needed you to be a surprise for my boss. Nick, just...get out of here. And please, I beg of you, stop the life of crime while you still can. If you need a better job, I know someone who can help you."

"And...my friend?"

"Tell him the same thing when you see him. Nick, this changes a few things on our relationship, you know that."
