Well, I broke down crying after class, but of course I got detention for sleeping in class. "It's ok, Lucy. I'll stay with you in detention." Rina offered. "You can't do that. They won't allow you in detention if you didn't earn it." I said. A moment later I realized how much of a mistake that was. Rina marched down the hall and went into the principals office. I waited a few minutes then she came back. "Okay I can stay in detention." she said smiling proudly. "What did you say?" I asked. "I danced with his wig then smacked him with it." she said perfectly normal. "Remind me not to say stuff like that to you again." I said. "Nah. I'm to cute to get in any serious trouble." she replied. I laughed, probably louder than I should of, but then someone placed their hand on my shoulder and, out of reflex, I swung around whacking them with my arm. I was stunned for a moment as Piper squeaked "ow! ow ow ow!!!" "Sorry. I didn't mean to!" I apologized. "It's fine. Well anyway, I was wondering if you and Rina wanted to join my family for dinner tonight." She offered. "Um, sure. What time should we come over?" I accepted. "We usually eat around six.. ish." "Ok sounds good. Thanks Piper." I said.
After she walked away Rina and I went off to detention.
"Looks like we are the only two here." Rina said, stating the obvious. "Not necessarily. See there's that invisible person over there, and another one over there." I said. "Well someone feeling sassy today." Rina giggled. "After detention we can go to my house for a lil bit then head to Piper's house for six, then come back to my house and you can help me with my homework." I said. "Ok. Homework is so easy these days." Rina said. "Well for a genius red head maybe. What are your parents doing tonight?" I asked. "They're out of town, as usual. Won't be home for like another week. Work has them busy as a bee." Rina said. "Ok, then you can just stay at my house tonight." I replied as i took out my notebook. "Oooh I wanna watch!!" Rina said excitedly. She always gets so excited when she watches me draw, even though she watches me do it like everyday. I did a sketch of Piper. Her brown, wavy hair and her hazel eyes thats always had a caring and interested look in them. I only did her face and neck. I didn't feel like doing a whole body one. It took me probably about forty minutes to finish it. "I'm always astonished at how realistic it all is." Rina said. She always tells me how talented I am. I draw, I sing, I write songs and Rina always says I'm pretty, but I don't see it. "Thanks Rina." I said smiling. Normally schools have a teacher in detention, but our teacher just didn't care, so she didn't show up. So its basically just talking and doing whatever you want. The principal was still here so we couldn't leave, but that was it. For the rest of detention I sat and did pretty much nothing and Rina say flicking pencils across the room until the principal said we could leave. We were on our way home and all we could here was sirens blaring. "What's that noise?" I asked even though she probably didn't know. "WHAT?" Rina yelled back. "WHAT'S THAT NOISE?" I asked again, yelling as loud as possible. Then the sirens stopped. "I don't know but it was loud." she replied. We turned on to my street and my mouth dropped open. There were like a millions police cars and reporters in front my house. Wait, Where is my house? It's not there. I hit panic. "Lucy, am I going insane finally or did your house disappear?" Rina asked. "It's.... gone." I said. I was trembling so bad I thought I would collapse.
