All that's known (Frozen AU)

Part 9

They had been on the sled for a couple hours. It was dark outside now. Anna and Ryder where asleep in the back of the sled. Kristoff was forcing himself to stay awake, his eyes closing every couple seconds. He wanted to push through it and get to where Pabbie was. He thought he knew how to get there but he had sort of forgotten what way to go. He heard mumbling and smiled softly, knowing it was Ryder. Ryder had a mumbling problem, he mumbled a lot. He was tapped on the shoulder and slowed Sven down a little, looking back at Anna. " what is it?.." he said quietly, noticing anna looked scared. He held his arm out and motioned for Anna to sit next to him. " talk to me Anna.." he whispered, wrapping his arm around her.

Anna climbed over the back part and sat down next to Kristoff. She leaned on his shoulder and took a deep breath, tracing his hand in hers. It was a habit of hers. " I had a nightmare..About Elsa being hurt again. It scared me...." she mumbled, glancing down at her feet. She hated having nightmares. It all felt so real every time she had a nightmare. She sighed quietly and looked back at Ryder. He was still mumbling. She found it adorable. Ryder was only a year younger then her but he was so different and she loved it. She heard humming and looked up at Kristoff, smiling softly. She knew he was straining himself by not sleeping but at least they where all okay. Her eyes fluttered closed as she listened to Kristoff's humming. She slowly fell back asleep.

Kristoff smiled and continued humming, looking back onto the path. He sighed and yawned, rubbing his eyes. He turned down a second path, finding where Pabbie was. He sighed quietly and picked anna up bridal style and laid her back down. He looked over at Ryder and tossed a blanket on him, moving closer to him and Anna. He yawned again and leaned against the back of the sled and closed his eyes, quickly falling asleep. He was glad they had gotten to Pabbie's home. He was surprised that he had lasted that long without falling asleep. He was happy that he was able to get Anna and Ryder to Pabbie's home safely. He heard Ryder continue to mumble things, each word getting more and more incoherent. He was confused on why Ryder mumbled so much but this wasn't the time to think about that. He just wanted to focus on getting sleep.
