Part 10

Ryder was the first one to wake up. He sat up quietly, rubbing his eyes. He looked over at Kristoff and Anna, sighing. He looked out onto the horizon and jumped out of the sled. The sun had just barely risen. He walked away from the sled, going to the top of the hill they had stopped on. He spun around and looked at everything surrounding him. It was beautiful. He sat down at the edge of the hill, looking down into a forest. Despite having been trapped in an enchanted forest his whole life he loved being outside. He heard his name being called and he jumped up, scrambling to get back to the sled. "I'm still here guys.." he said nervously as he walked up to the sled. He looked at Kristoff and sighed then starting following him. " What exactly are we doing here?.". He was never actually told where they where going. He had fallen asleep before he could get any info.

Anna rolled her eyes at Ryder and grabbed kristoff's hand. She walked next to him, sighing. Something was wrong with him. He was really quiet. She looked down then over at Ryder. " The trolls will have some answers about his family and past." she said quietly, sighing again. Kristoff hadn't said anything yet. It was freaking her out.

Pabbie had told the three everything they needed to know. Kristoff was distraught after what he heard. So was Ryder. Kristoff walked away from everyone and into the forest. He started running. He ran to a huge tree and sat down near its trunk, crying. He didn't want to believe anything he was told. He was Northludran. Yelana was his mother but she left alone with ice cutters because she couldn't raise him. He didn't understand why she did that.

Anna stood next to Ryder, holding his hand. He looked really sad. Anna didn't like it. " Ryder?..Are you okay?. You can talk to me.." she said quietly, wanting to help him. She felt awful. She knew kristoff wanted to be alone but Ryder didn't.
