The gyrosphere crept down into the jungle. Vines scraped along side the glass and twigs cracked from beneath. "No, no, Bad idea, bad idea" Gray stuttered. "Great idea" Zach snapped sarcastically. "No! We're gonna get arrested, they're gonna shave our heads and then we'll have to make root beer in the toilet". Zach shot him a look of both confusion and disgust. "What are you talking about?". Jonny snickered behind the 2 brothers. "Zach is this really what your brother thinks happens in jail?". "Apparently so" The older Mitchell replied rolling his eyes.
"There. See, I told you. You're welcome, up close and personal with 4.... dinosaur-ases" Zach said in a cocky tone. "Ankylosaurus" Gray corrected. "We shouldn't be here, and there's 5 dinosaurs". Zach was confused. "Aren't you supposed to be a genius? Look, 1,2,3,4" he pointed. A look of shock ran over Jonny's face. "5" he pointed at the reflection in the glass. The 3 boys turned around at the same time. White scales and sharp teeth reflected off the gyrosphere. Jonny heard a low growl followed by an eardrum-piercing screech. "SHIT" Zach yelled. The creature kicked the glass ball. Gray screeched as they spun across the jungle floor trapped inside of the gyrosphere, bouncing off of the armor of the Anky's. "Hold it together man!" Zach yelped. Jonny was holding onto his seat behind them. When they came to a stop Gray clung to Zach's arm.
The Ankylosaurus turned around in a stand off position. "Zach go!" Jonny yelled. Her territory was messed with and she definitely was not happy. The white dinosaur stuck its claw out and charged at the Anky. Suddenly, the gyrosphere took a blow from its club. Gray screamed once more as the sphere swung back, hitting a tree. "FUCK" Jonny screamed as the gyrosphere turned upside down. His anxiety was starting to rise.
The 2 dinosaurs were still brawling. The Ankylosaurus was soon overpowered as it was turned on its back. The white dinosaur chomped down on its head, the neck snapped. Gray flinched and looked away. Horror shot through Zach's eyes. They began to water. "We're Safe in here right?" Gray asked. "Yeah totally safe" Zach whispered. He lied. He really didn't know what else this monstrosity was capable of. A buzzing noise echoed in the sphere. Zach's phone dropped down onto the floor. Aunt Claire was calling. "Jonny can you reach it?" He asked while stretching his arm out as best he could. "Almost" he groaned. But not quite. "Zach, Jonny" Gray gasped. "Look".
The creatures amber-colored eye glowed into the sphere. "Oh my god" Jonny whispered. The creature took hold of the gyrosphere, rolling it up to its face. A large claw punctured the glass to raise it up further. Suddenly, it wrenched its jaws onto the sphere, biting down into the glass. The boys screamed inside. The sphere lifted off the ground. The creature slammed it twice back down. The glass on the bottom shattered off. Zach unclipped the seatbelts and they dropped to the floor. Zach and Gray ran out but Jonny's seatbelt wrapped around his ankle. "HELP" he screamed. The gyrosphere was yanked off the ground once more with Jonny still in it. "JONNY!" Zach yelled running back towards the mangled sphere. Jonny was slammed back down. The echo of shattering glass rang in his ears as it disingrated. He slowly crawled out from the wreckage, coughing. He had a couple of scrapes on his body from the shattered glass. "Jonny! Shit, you alright?!" Zach asked, helping him up. Jonny was still coughing.       "Let's Go!" He yelled at Gray.
They ran out of towards the light at the end of the jungle. The echoes of thuds still emerged from the jungle. The white dinosaur broke out of the brush, screeching. The boys ran faster and faster. Soon they reached a thundering waterfall. The dinosaur wasn't far behind them. "We gotta jump, are you ready?" Zach asked them. Gray shook his head but Jonny knew it was their only hope. Zach grabbed both of them. "1,2,3!" He said as they dived off the cliff, inches away from the jaws of the dinosaur. They landed in the crystal blue water with a loud splash. Zach pulled Gray down, signaling that it wasn't safe to go up yet. The creature still might be there. A distorted roar echoed and it sounded like it was moving further away. The boys broke through the surface gasping for air. They swam to land as fast as they could, crawling through the murky water. The crystal water became muddier.
Zach looked over at Jonny as soon as they arrived to shore to make sure he was fine. He grabbed his chin. Jonny could feel his face getting hotter by the second. "Does it hurt really bad anywhere? How's your ankle?". Zach's chocolate eyes were mesmerizing. "Yeah.. I'm okay. You and I both know I've had worse" he smiled. Zach was relieved. "You jumped". Gray started giggling. That made Zach laugh. He pulled both of them into a group hug. "Well let's get moving back to the hotel. We need to ring out our clothes first". They found a rock nearby to sit on. Zach took his jacket off and began twisting it. "What the hell was that thing?" Jonny asked. "No clue, Gray wouldn't you know??" Zach asked. "Well it's bigger than a T-Rex but looks more like an Allosaurus with the 2 crests on its head. I really don't know". The boys sat there, puzzled.
Jonny's stomach growled. "Would you have any food in that pouch?" He asked Gray. He took out a protein bar and split it into thirds.
Thunder echoed through The Valley. Zach reached his arm out to pull Jonny up. "Wow what a gentleman" He teased. Zach rolled his eyes. "I'm just being polite" he replied flirtatiously. "Since when are you polite?" Gray snapped. Jonny couldn't help but laugh. They walked further up the hill and got a good view of the jungle. "We got this" Zach encouraged. Gray and Jonny kept moving forward. Zach snarled as he flung his wristband across the field. He felt terrible that Jonny got hurt. Zach's feelings for him were growing stronger. Nobody ever made him feel the way that Jonny did. It hit different and that is what intrigued Zach the most. More forest was coming into view. "Once we get through this the park should be right there" Gray said. "And hopefully far away from whatever that thing was".
