This was it. Past and present finally caught up to one another. The ruler of the old park was going head-to-head with Dr. Wu's modernized hybrid creation. Life has found a way.

"Oh my god" Gray shuttered, watching within what was left of the stand. He couldn't believe his eyes.

The T. Rex instinctively lunged at the Indominus's neck. The hybrid defended itself with its longer claws, attempting to slice the Rex's throat. Rexy wasn't as quick as the Indominus, causing the Indominus to sink its teeth into her throat and slamming her to the ground. The T-Rex screeched in agony from her opponents razor-sharp teeth. Odds were not looking good for the T-Rex, as Claire was crawling away from the chaos.

"Run!" Claire cried out. She felt that defeat was imminent.

The Indominus dragged Rexy once more, towards the hut that Owen, Zach, Gray, and Jonny were watching from, frozen in time. The jaws of the T-Rex slammed into the side of the hut, right for Jonny's arm.

"Go! Go! Go!" ordered Owen, pushing the three teenagers out of the hut. Jonny yelped as debris flew towards him, shielding his head as he sprinted.

Everyone ran over towards Claire and the piece of decoration she was hiding behin. Their best option was to be out of the predator's sight. Zach's hands intertwined with Jonny's as they cowered behind the rock. The Indominus had Rexy pinned down the way she wanted. As she was about to take her kill shot and feast on her next meal, a faint yet familiar call echoed in the distance. The Blue Raptor seemed to survive her injuries as she charged towards the threat, jumping on its back and ripping its flesh out little by little.

"They're working together" whispered Jonny, amazed.

The group got up and dashed towards the Jurassic Gift Shop, as the battle got closer to them. The T-Rex managed to get up in the midst of the chaos and throw the Indominus into the side of Margaritaville. Sparks flew everywhere. They ran through the store, dodging any debris the dinosaurs caused to come their way. Strategically, the T-Rex managed to slam the Indominus against the wall of Mosasaur Lagoon, cornering it. Pieces of the structure impaled the Monster's back. It got back up once more, inching towards Rexy and the Raptor. Suddenly, the Mosasaur leaped out of the water and clamped it's jaws around the Indominus's neck. Once it had a firm grip, it took the hybrid tyrant beneath the surface ending her reign of terror, and the bellowing Mosasaur disappeared into the depths of the Lagoon with her meal.

"It's not gonna come back up, is it?" Zach asked worriedly.

"With that many teeth?" said Jonny rhetorically, nudging Gray. "I think the Mosasaur is gonna be good on food for awhile"

"Im so glad you guys are okay" Claire exclaimed, relieved, hugging the three boys.

Rexy began strolling down the remains of Mainstreet, enjoying her freedom. The Blue Raptor turned to Owen. The two seemed to have a conversation with eye movements, like muse. Then, the Raptor ran off into the distance to start her new, independent life. Claire immediately hugged Owen.

"It's finally over" she said to the Raptor Trainer.

"The final boat will leave the dock in 30 minutes"

"Let's get out of here before we get stuck on Dino-Island" snapped Zach.

"I couldn't agree more, let's roll" Jonny said.

Aside from the Captain and Steward, the boat was empty. Lowery was at the dock waiting for the group to arrive. The three teenagers boarded first, then Claire, Lowery, and finally, Owen. The younger Mitchell decided to sit in between Owen and his Aunt.

"So now that the island is evacuated, what about the dinosaurs?" Asked the boy.

Claire froze for a moment. Her nephew was right to ask. "I think once everything settles down we can go from there, but first we need to heal from this experience and learn from our mistakes."

Zach left the restroom and strolled back to the lounge area on the inside of the vessel. He noticed one spot was empty.

"Anyone seen Jonny?" He asked curiously.

"Think he's out there" Owen pointed towards the balcony of the ship.

Zach nodded and walked towards the deck. He opened the door to find the boy he liked gazing at the silhouette of Isla Nublar underneath the beautiful stars that lit up the night sky.

"Hey" The older Mitchell said softly, not to startle Jonny.

"We actually survived all this" the boy laughed, glancing at Zach, then back at the ocean.

"Yeah, luckily because of this fearless, hot mechanic I know" Complimented Zach.

This made Jonny to blush and turn to him. "Yeah, luckily because the two decade old gas and tire we found in the Old park still managed to be good somehow" he corrected, sassily.

"Yeah, and you also saved Gray from a Pterodactyl and stabbed the Franken-Dino with an axe" Zach pointed out.

"God, he's so fucking cute" Jonny thought, mesmerized by Zach's charm and humor. "Actually I was terrified the entire time" he confided.

"You saved both of us from Pterodactyl's a few times" nudged Jonny.

"For all of us being terrified as fuck, I think we handled our situation pretty well" Zach stated proudly.

"Definitely" agreed Jonny. He then put his hands on the sides of Zach's face, and pulled it closer to him. Jonny stared into his chocolate colored eyes, then at the wound right above the left one. "We should get that cut above your eyebrow looked at ASAP though."

Zach smiled and placed his hands over Jonny's and removed them from his face. "I know my timing is the absolute worst, but will you be my boyfriend?"
he asked.

"I think you already know the answer" Jonny grinned, leaning in for a kiss. The two boys shared a moment of passion beneath the stars and the calming sounds of the sea. The two embraced one another with a hug. Jonny laughed for a moment.

"Why are you laughing?" Zach asked, still not letting go.

"Because it took all of this for you to realize you had feelings for me" Jonny smirked.

Zach held Jonny a little tighter. "Don't push it" sassed the older Mitchell. The two stayed out on the bow of the ship, watching the sunrise together. This was the happiest, most free, Zach has ever felt. He could finally be the person he always aspired to become. He hoped his parents would be accepting of it too.

*Author's Note* - So this ending is clearly different than the hanger scene at the end of the film. I wanted to attempt to do something original that fit the characters better since they are the focus of this story. I hope the ending is okay, I might come back and update it if I feel inspired to write something better. But overall, hopefully you guys like this ending. I've had the Epilogue saved in my drafts for quite sometime and I am beyond excited to share it with everyone as I think a lot of people are going to enjoy it. Please vote, comment, and share! (:
