Before she could say anything else, Hidan gripped her forearm. She looked up at him, eyes wide while she watched his expression melt into the softer Hidan she met not long ago. Itachi was behind him, looming, but angled where he would be unable to see Hidan's change. She blinked as she felt his thumb rub a little circle on her arm, as if reassuring her.
This was… Unexpected. She looked to the ground, and went limp into his grasp. There was no use fighting it. Really, what could she of all people do?
He tugged her arm lightly, and she moved with his will. Soon, Itachi's hand wrapped around her other arm.
Wasn't this overdoing it?! Tears of embarrassment welled up in her eyes as she peeked up at Itachi, her vision blurred as she fought the tears back.
She knew the man for many years. But it was always from a distance. Now, here he was, gripping her arm like a criminal. His dark eyes looked forward as he pulled her along with Hidan to the door.
She felt like he was being hauled away by the cops, with how they both refused to let go of her.
Her class was dead, but the hallway was not. There was sounds of laughter and roundness as they exited the classroom.
Then it was pure silence, as if the whole world was put on pause while she was pulled along by the two Akatsuki. She ducked her head, her face heating so fast and hard she felt faint. Her vision dotted, and her ears rang, but she fought back the dizziness as she was pulled along. One foot in front of another, she allowed herself and followed their lead. Fighting them would only make it worst.
The tears she fought back now welled over, trailing down her cheeks as the students parted for them, all eyes on them.
This was the worst day she could think of. She bit her lip hard as they drug her along, the tears refusing to stop even as they exited into the school yard. It was the same out here; loud, then pure quietness.
There was going to be so much gossip on the school boards tonight. There was going to be so much misunderstanding.
She could feel Hidan rubbing soft circles into her arm, but it did nothing to sooth her as they pulled her through the courtyard.
Nearing the parking lot, Itachi released her as a huge black SUV pulled up. Itachi got into the passenger seat, while Hidan led her to the back.
Kisame was driving, looking back at her amused as she stared into the vehicle. She was rather petite, and the SUV was lifted. There was no step to help her get in either.
A short laugh made her look to the other side of the seat. There sat Deidara, grinning rather playfully. She looked back to the seat, her face heating further when she felt hands grip under her armpits. She quickly looked to see Hidan's glowering face as he lifted her up.
Fuck it all.
She quickly scrambled into the vehicle beside Deidara, close as she dare without touching him as Hidan climbed into the vehicle. His long limbs let him have easy access.
She sat between the two Akatsuki, partially dazed as she stared at her lap. In the front, Kisame started a conversation with Itachi, whom answered back politely. However, she dare not listen in.
Even if she could, the amount of blood rushing in her head was making her ears ring. She could hardly hear anything as she swayed along with the vehicle.
