Part 2

Everyone was all ears to know what actually transpired between Ishita-Raman.

Mihika: Main Raman se... I mean Raman jeeju se shaadi karne wali thi. Lekin woh badle ke iye thi. Main Akka aur apne family se badla lena chahti thi because I thought tthey betrayed me. But, in reality, they had gifted me my life back.

T: Iska matlab ab tu aur Romi saath hain?

Romi: Haan Mummy, uss din court mein jab bhabhi mere saath khadi rahi, toh Mihika unse gussa hoke jaa hi rahi thi, ki wahan Pooja aa gayi. Use bhabhi ne hi bulaya tha sach batane ke liye.

Appa: Kaisa sach?

M: Romi aur Pooja ka koi affair nahi tha. Jab woh dono ek saath the, Romi was drunk and he passed out. Nothing happened between them ever.

Romi: Pooja was blackmailing me because I denied to leave Mihika and be with her. Jab yeh saara sach saamne aaya, toh Mihika decided to give our marriage a second chance.

S: Agar itna sab hua toh humein kyun nahi bataya? Hum bhai ki shaadi postpone karke kisi doosri achhi ladki se karwate.

R: ujhe Ishita se achhi ladki kahan milegi Simmo. Ishita jitni tujhe buri lagti hain waisi nahi hain. Uske har ek action ke peechhe koi na koi wajah rehti hain.

Param: Lekin tum logon ne Ishita ko kaise bithaya mandap pe?

(FLASHABCK)

-ONE DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING

Ishita was crying sitting in the lobby of their apartment. Raman saw this and was unable to hold himself back. He quietly went near Ishita and took a seat beside her.

R: (slowly) Ishita... kya hua?

I: (wiping her tears hurriedly) Aap yahan?

R: Haan. I asked kya hua?

I: Kuchh nahi. Waise bhi aapko bata ke kya fayda? Samajhte ho kahan aap kuchh?

R: Kya samajhna chahiye mujhe? Agar tum clearly bologi nahi, toh how will I understand?

I: Kya bolu main?

R: Yahin ki tum mujhse pyaar karti ho.

I: (stunned) Aapko kaise pata?

R: (with a slight smile) Bhoolne ki bimari hain mujhe, na samjhne ki nahi. Poore Budapest mein mere pichhe pichhe aa rahi thi. Delhi mein bhi mujhe nahi chhoda. Mujhe life mein pehli baar kisine 100 roses ka bouquet bheja tha, pehli baar ksine mere dil ki baat samjhli.

I: Pehli baar?

R: (stressing his memory) Haan... haan shayad.
Aur phir tum Shanno bani so alag.

I: Sirf aapke saath rehne ke liye hi toh main Shanno bani thi. Mera koi ulterior motive nahi tha Raman. Please trust me.

R: I don't know why, but I do trust you. And I love...

Just then Mrs. Bhalla called Raman inside to discuss some wedding arrangements.

R: Haan Maa, aaya.

Both of them went to their respective homes reluctantly.

(PRESENT)

Param: Toh isme ye kahan decide hua ki Ishita tumhari bride banegi?

R: Nahi hua tha decide. In fact, maine toh ummeed bhi chhod di thi ki main aur Ishita ek saath ho sakte hain. Lekin abhi shaadi se just kuchh waqt pehle Romi ne aake mujhe Pooja ki sachhai batai.

Romi: Maine aaj subah se Mihika se baat karne ki koshish ki. But she didn't even want to see my face. So, I had to talk to Bhai.

Mihika: Then, main Romi aur Jeeju ne ek saath baithke saari misunderstandings clear ki.

(FLASHBACK)

Ro: Thank you so much Bhai, mere aur Mihika ke beech sab theek kar dene ke liye.

M: Lekin ab main neeche jaake bata doon sabko ki ab humari shaadi nahi ho rahi?

R: Nahi, that's not needed. Mujhe shaadi karni hain, (with a triumphant smile) Aur mujhe yeh bhi pata hain ki kisse karni hain.

-IN IYYER HOUSE

Ishita was sitting sad and dejected in her room. Her eyes were swollen and red due to continuous crying. She was disheveled.

R: (softly) Kya main andar aa sakta hoon?

I: (surprised) Aap yahan, iss waqt? Aapki shaadi ka samay ho chala hain.

R: Shaadi ke baare mein hi baat karne aaya tha.

I: Aap toh tayyar bhi ho chuke ho shaad ke liye- sherwani vagaira pehenke. (huffed) Ab kya baat karni hain?

R: Jal mat Madrasan. Jalti hain toh teri zubaan kaafi chalti hain.

I: (surprised) Kya kaha aapne?

R: (trying to recall) Pata nahi... (clutches his head) Sach mein yaad nahi... Kya kaha... Kyun kaha...

I: Raman... Raman, relax. It's okay. Aap yeh batao ki aap yahan kya baat karne ke liye aaye the?

Raman narrated the whole incident of Romi uncovering the truth and Mihika deciding to give him a second chance.

I: Wow! That's wonderful. Romi and Mihika love each other a lot. Waise bhi 2 pyaar karne walon ko humesha saath rehna chahiye.

R: Toh kya yeh humein apply nahi hota?

I: Matlab?

R: Okay, so, main aapse yeh poochhne aaya hoon ki... kya aap... will you marry me?

I: (stunned )

R: Hum dono jaante hain that we love each other. Both of us need companions in life. So, why not?

I: (slowly) Yaa... yaa... that's right.

R: Don't worry about my family. Meri khushiyon se jyada important kuchh nahi hain unke liye.

I: Lekin kya sach mein aapki khushi mere saath hain?

R: Of course hain Ishita. Trust me, it's not a decision I have taken on the spur of moment. Main bohot dino se iske baare mein soch raha tha, tumhare baare mein soch raha tha. ANd, we can actually be a great couple, a happily married couple?

I: (with tears flowing through her eyes) (happily) Hmmm.

R: What hmmm? Just a couple of minutes ago, I asked you if you will marry me. Jawab do. Nibhaogi mere saath 7 janmon ka rishta?

I: (throwing herself on him) Of course. Yes, I will. Of course. I love you so much. I just love you mere Raavan Kumar.

R: I love you too meri Jhansi ki Rani. By the way, naam achha hain, Raavan Kumar.

I: Mera bhi achha hain- Jhansi ki Rani.

(END OF FLASHBACK)

I: Then, mujhe Mihika ne ready kiya and use mandap mein bithaya. 

R: Kyunki humare paas time nahi tha yeh sab aap sab ko explain karne ka, so we thought ki ek baar shaadi ho jaye, phir sab ko sab sach bata denge.

I: And that's the tale of our marriage.

R: Quite close to a fairy tale.

Ishita and Raman smiled at each other.
The Bhalla-Iyyer families knew they couldn't help anything now, and none of them was unhappy with the marriage. Param and Simmi had got the shock of their lives and were fuming at their failure.
