Final Friday

Toriel's POV

Toriel woke up to her clock going off at 6:15 in the morning. She changed out of her iconic robe with her royal crest into her dress skirt and button up sweater as her teacher outfit. She went into Kris' room to wake the two up and noticed the two were sleeping together in his bed and covered her mouth to not rudely awaken their cute slumber. She slowly opened the curtains to let the growing sunshine glow throughout the room. "Good morning, children. I'll have breakfast ready for you two soon." She left the room heading downstairs to the kitchen to start working on a special breakfast for everyone.

Kris' POV

Kris woke up rubbing his eyes and felt something heavy pinning him down to the bed. He looked over to see Susie had thrown her arm over his waist thinking she must have gotten cold and snuggled him during the night. "Hey, wake up Susie." He softly nudged her shoulder to wake her up but instead she pulled him closer to her and hugged him "Nooo I don't wanna get up yet." She said groggily. "Come on, Susie you need to get up. And let me breahe, you silly reptile." He started laughing and kissing her cheek. Susie sat up and stretched her arms out and kissed Kris' cheek back then landed on him trapping him under her body "Pinned ya again, loser! Haha." He tried to get her off with muffled yells and pushing at her sides before slipping out and landing on the floor with a heavy thud. "Was that because I tried scaring you last night?" He laughed after looking at Susie sitting at the edge of the bed looking at him. "Oh yeah. It could have been much worse, though." She smirked and shot Kris a quick wink. He blushed at the thought of what she meant by that.

He threw on his signature green sweater and a blue jacket since the weeather has finally been getting colder the deeper the winter season has been crawling in. He walked with Susie down to the kitchen to start eating breakfast before school starts. "Good morning, you two. Did you sleep well last night?" she giggled as she looked at the two blushing in embarrassment. "We didn't do anything bad, I swear. I just didn't feel comfortable sleeping in his brothers bed that night." Susie rubbed the back of her head nervously. Toriel smiled and sat three plates on the table, "Oh, my child it's okay with me. I know you two are not up to anything bad. I can trust you not to try anything." She gave a gentle smirk to Kris "Atleast not while I am still in the house that is." This made Kris almost choke on his cereal and start coughing uncontrollably as Susie looked away stifling her laughter. "Mom! Why would you say something like that?! That was terrible." Kris said blushing profusely.

Susie's POV

After breakfast Susie went upstairs to grab their backpacks before heading off to school. She carried Kris' and threw her backpack over her shoulder while heading back downstairs. They headed to the car to ride to their final day of school to get ready for the wonderful relief of winter break.

Surprisingly the day wasn't too boring for class. Everyone got a free day after the rest of the students handed in their group projects. Kris and Susie were discussing what they should do during winter break aside from Noelle's party tomorrow. Kris brought up the idea of going back to the Dark World. Susie pondered on the idea for a few minutes. "We can definitely try that. We'd just need to find a way to get there without our parents freaking out thinking we went missing. We gotta get a scapegoat depending on how long we'll be there for." She brought up a good point that Kris started to think real hard on the subject. He then got an idea "We could ask Noelle to cover for us. She's the only one who really thinks of us as her friends." Susie grinned and thought it was a perfect idea. "Then it's settled. We'll go visit Ralsei and the others after the party." Kris nodded in confirmation to her idea. "I love the way you think. Just another reason for me to fall for you." He winked at her. Susie couldn't stop staring at Kris' beautifully red eyes. She keeps saying they make him look devilishly handsome. Which he would ask if it's a sin making her laugh at him.

The bell rang for lunch moments after everyone had finished talking about winter plans and dates. Susie grabbed Kris' hand and walked to the cafeteria together as a couple. As they got to the cafeteria they were stopped by their cheerful friend Noelle. She greeted them with a couple of official invites to her house. "I forgot to tell you guys that you'll need the access code to get into the house. Being that my mother is the mayor we have high security at our house. The gate will be open, but to get into the front yard you'll need this. See you tomorrow!" She also gave them both a basket with a bag of chocolate chip cookies and headed off to give the rest of the class the invites.

The rest of the school day went by pretty quickly. Before the bell rang, Ms. Alphys wished everyone to have a great winter break and to be ready for another group project. She didn't say what it would be about or what subject but Susie saw Kris was interested in what it would be about. The bell rang signaling all the students that their break had begun. Susie waited for Kris' mother to come outside so she can invite them over for the day. Toriel agreed to drive over to her house after school for a visit today that will give her and Kris time to still be together.

Kris' POV

They got to Susie's house in the early evening of the day. They entered the house and saw Susie's dad walking around with crutches. "Oh, I see you're able to move around more often. That's good to see, Link." He turned around and greeted the three with a happy wave. "Hey, everyone! How was your last day of school, kids? Hope it was fun." He gave a happy laugh and hugged the two. Toriel had headed to the kitchen to get dinner started for all four of them. Susie took Kris to her room so their parents can talk and get dinner ready. Susie looked over at Kris after throwing her coat on her bed and patted beside her motioning him to sit beside her.Kris flopped down on to her bed and sprawled out staring at the ceiling. Susie fell backwards as well and looked at him. "So what do you think we should do while waiting for dinner tonight? I'm bored as all hell right now." Kris looked back at her then scooted closer to Susie putting his arms around her and pulling her into a snuggled hug. "This will do for now, won't it?" as he leaned up to kiss her on the cheek. Susie returned the kiss to his nose and agreed "Yeah I can take that for now." They stayed together in each others comfort that they soon started dozing off. It's around an hour later that night that Toriel came into Susie's room that dinner was ready and noticed them asleep together. She smiled and snuck a quick picture before softly nudging them awake. "Time to eat, dears."

Kris rubbed his eyes and looked over at Susie who was still not fully awake yet. He moved her bangs and gave her a quick kiss "Wake up, sleepy head. We got food waiting for us." She shook her head and kissed Kris back then ran out the room yelling "Beat ya there slowpoke!" Kris ran after her as fast as he could. Susie was much faster than he was having longer legs than him. They reached the living one one at a time and sat at the table where Toriel and Link were waiting for them. "Tori told me you two made it official at the dance, eh? I knew it was gonna happen eventually! You two are as tight as thieves, I swear to it." Kris smiled and confirmed his statement on Susie now being his girlfriend. They all talked during dinner for awhile until it was time for both families to get ready for bed. "Oh I forgot to mention, Mom. Noelle invited Susie and I to an after school party at her house tomorrow. Is it all right if we go?" Kris asked his mother. "Of course you can. She must be the mayor's daughter, correct? Knowing how secure her house is I have no need to worry about anything bad happening. Just be sure to message me often on how you are doing, okay?" Kris hugged his mother and thanked her. Susie's father agreed that as long as Kris was there she could go.

They said their goodbyes and headed towards the car. Before Kris had gotten in he heard Susie call out for him and turned to see her running to him. "What is it, Sus-" she stopped him mid sentence to plant a kiss on his lips. "I've been meaning to tell you something. I always expected you to say it first but I guess I have to instead. Well, Kris, I wanna say that I love you." She blushed after finishing her sentence to look at Kris smiling brightly. "I love you too, Susie. I'll see you tomorrow for the party!" He hugged her one last time before heading home. Tomorrow the party will be their second date Kris told himself.
