" HEY HANA! " minhee greeted her with a smile and small wave. " are you alone? "
" yes, i am." she said and closed the book that she was reading earlier after noticing minhee's presence. " aren't you going for recess? "
" no, i don't really like going to the cafeteria."
hana let out a giggle. " relatable." she told him. " the cafeteria is often cramped up so it makes me uncomfortable sometimes."
" i know, right? " minhee then chuckled. " anyways, uh— i've made some mac and chess— your favourite. and perhaps do you want— i mean— would you like to share it with me? " he nervously asked.
" you can cook? " hana raised a brow with a smirk on his face. this guy is full of surprises." that's impressive. i don't often know any guys who can cook by themselves."
" with the help of my mother, of course. " he then rubbed his nape. " i'm terrible at it."
hana laughed and shook her head, she finds him hilarious but also adorable as well. " well then, sure! "
minhee took a seat beside her and took out his lunch box from the small bag that he was seen carrying. he then handed hana a steel spoon before handing her his lunch box afterwards. " here, you do the honours."
" alright then." the girl took the spoon away from his hands and started taking a spoonful of the mac and cheese that he cooked.
she was surprised at how good it tasted and did a thumbs up. " this is amazing! "
" really? " minhee eyes sparkled over her excitement. " you liked it? "
" i love it." she said. " honestly, you should really cook more often. i would love to taste these again."
the boy smiled— glad that she enjoyed his cooking and even complimented him. " i'm glad you liked it. i made it just for you."
" how did you know i liked mac and cheese anyways? " she questioned him.
minhee looked down nervously and started rubbing his nape once again, feeling quite embarrassed. " uh—jinhee."
yeah, he managed to ask jinhee earlier about hana's favourite food under the condition that he would treat the girl milk bread for a week. basically the boy went through hell just to find out her crush's favourite food; but it was worth it.
" of course, why didn't i think of that? " hana flashed a smile, which indeed made minhee's heart melt. " anyways, thanks for the food minhee! "
