" BOO! "

" oh fuck! " she let out a small curse and placed her palm on her chest to calm herself down. " oh my god.... minhee don't scare me like that! " hana exclaimed and pouted angrily, hitting him on the chest as she scrunched her nose.

minhee chuckled and ruffled her hair, amused by her cute reaction. " what are you doing here? school ended like an hour ago."

" i had to attend a club meeting earlier and now it's raining." the girl sighed while looking up to the sky, watching the rain drops fall from the sky. " i didn't bring an umbrella with me and i've already missed the bus. guess i'll just wait for the rain to stop and take another route."

" oh." he nodded his head, before he started to take out his own mini umbrella from his bag. " that's okay, i'll walk you home."

" it's fine! " she declined the offer, suddenly feeling bad for burdening him. " you don't have to do that minhee."

" i insist." the boy flashed a smile. " plus! it's getting late and i doubt the rain is going to stop anytime soon. not to mention your mom would be worried as well."

" you do have a point...." she giggled and nodded her head. " okay then—walk me home will ya? "

" with pleasure."

the pair started to walk away from school together side by side under the same umbrella (which minhee also insist on holding, though hana tried to argue with him a couple of times; but she failed eventually) while coming up with small conversations about school stuff and prom preparations.

" you've already bought your dress? " he eyed the girl beside her, suddenly feeling curious. though whatever dress that she bought, he was sure she would look absolutely stunning in it.

hana nodded her head once again, " yup! but i don't know if i'll match with you tho. i mean— i'm pretty sure you'll look amazing while i'll end up looking like a whole mashed potato beside you." she playfully joked.

" don't say that." he ruffled her hair, " you'll look amazing."

" and why are you so confident about it? "

" because i said so." he winked, which somehow made her blush red. thankfully it was almost dark around the area hana managed to cover her face, preventing him from seeing her getting embarassed.

" damn kang minhee, you really do know how to play with a girl's heart don't ya? " she giggled. " you're making my heart go dugeun dugeun all the time."

" is that a good thing? "

" maybe." she shrugged, pretending as if she didn't really cared about it; when in fact she does. " why? you think it's a bad thing."

" i just don't want you to feel uncomfortable. if i ever passed any boundaries please tell me." he said. although he was not making any eye contact and seemed pretty calm, hana knew he was actually serious about it. " just wanted to make sure you're comfortable whenever you're with me."

well well, who knew kang minhee was actually like this. a charmer and yet still tried his best to respect her boundaries? maybe he's my type after all—or perhaps even every girl's type.

" i'm okay with it, don't worry you idiot." she gently patted his head. " as long as it is you then i'm completely fine."

minhee smiled, somehow he felt glad hearing those words coming out from her. he was glad that hana was comfortable whenever he's with him, and his attempt to slowly make his crush like him back is eventually leading into the right path.

he suddenly felt his hand intertwining with hers. their hands fit perfectly, like a puzzle made for each other. not to mention her hand was warm and comfy, and he liked the fact that they were holding hands now.

together, they walked home side by side surrounded by the cold weather, but warm feelings for each other.
