Grace woke to a dozen texts and calls from Max. She rolled her eyes as she read them;

Talk to me. I think you owe me that - Max x

Grace scoffed. She didn't owe Max anything. Especially after he had been the one who left her pregnant and alone. She didn't think she could talk to him again. She wanted him to leave her alone.

Grace went into work and sighed. She saw Tom standing with Max. She stormed over. "He isn't supposed to be here."

"Neither are you. I thought you were having some time off?" Tom asked.

Grace rolled her eyes. "So I'm not allowed here cause he's here?" She asked.

Tom looked at her. "I didn't say that Grace. Look, you both just need to find a way to make this work. You're having a baby together. Weather you like it or not," he said.

Grace crossed her arms over her chest and shot a glare at Max. She rolled her eyes. "This is my body Max. I don't give a damn what you say. It's my choice so you can like it or lump it. You got me pregnant and walked away without a care in the world," she spat.

Max glared back at her. "So what? You give our baby up like it's nothing?" He asked.

Grace looked at him for a moment before she slapped him. "Don't you ever say that again. If anyone here is nothing, then it's you. You mean nothing to me," she spat as she walked off down the hall.

She didn't know what it was about Max Tyler that drove her mad.

Grace sat in her classroom and sighed. She looked at the scan she had attended alone. She felt a tear slip down her cheek as she looked at it.

She had no idea what to do. She couldn't have a baby alone and there was no way in hell she was going to co-parent with Max Tyler and give him a chance to use their baby as a weapon against her.

"Hey. Are you okay?" Tom asked as he walked in.

Grace looked up and sighed. "What do you think? Tom, you had to do this didn't you? Bring it all up and bring him back. I was happy with my decision but now he's here," she mumbled.

Tom looked at her and nodded. "I know it's your decision but he had a right to know. I thought I was doing what was for the best."

"It's not your fault."

Tom sat on the desk. "Have you spoken to your family over this?" He asked.

Grace shook her head. "It's complicated and this way it's for the best. Trust me," she said.

Grace walked out of the staff toilets. She was pale as Max walked down the hall and looked at her. He frowned. "Grace. Are you okay?" He asked.

Grace shook her head and looked at him. She had tears in her eyes. "I'm bleeding."

Max paled. Grace was scared she was going to lose her baby. She knew she didn't want to raise her baby. But she didn't want to lose her baby either.
