Our Beginning

Traumatized

~The next morning.

Seojin woke up to the sound of some rustling noise. As she slowly opened her eyes, a bunch of bright lights rushed in her eyes. She covered her eyes with her right hand. As her eyes adjusted to the lighting, she saw a man figure near the end of the bed she was laying in. First of all, Seojin was confused on where she was and what happened. And especially why is there a man here?

Seojin rubbed her eyes and readjusted. The man looked muscular and had very broad shoulders. All of a sudden Seojin choked on air, and quickly sat up, coughing. The man quickly turned around to see Seojin conscious.

"Seojin! Are you alright?"

Seojin stopped coughing and looked at him.

Seojin: I'm ok.
(She answered embarrassed, looking down as her face turned red.)

The man smiled at her cutely. It was her good old friend, Taemin!

Seojin: How did I end up here? Why am I here?
(She asked suddenly, confused.)

Taemin: You fainted last night.

Seojin gasped.

"In Mr. Lee Eunho's office."

The last part got Seojin's attention.

Seojin: What?! Oh no... I'm so embarrassed!
(She said frowning as she looked down sadly.)

Taemin: Are you feeling better?
(He asked giving Seojin a cup of warm water.)

Seojin nodded her head.

After the doctor came and checked up on her, she was able to go home again.

Seojin and Taemin walked outside the room with their things, towards the elevator. There was also a lady in all black, covered with a mask and sunglasses.

As the elevator doors opened Seojin and Taemin let the lady walk in first. Taemin hit the *1 button.

Taemin: What floor are you going to?
(He asked, turning to look at the lady.)

Lady: First floor as well.
(She quickly replied.)

It was dead silent in the elevator.

Seojin noticed that the lady was acting suspicious, looking around the elevator. As if she was being cautious of something.

Seojin: Is everything alright?
(She asked concerned.)

The lady stopped and looked at Seojin. She then slowly took off her sunglasses.

*3rd floor.

"It seems like you forgot me?"

Seojin was confused, standing there.

*2nd floor.

"I should have made sure you followed your grandmother to the afterworld too."

The elevator doors opened as the lady quickly put back on her sunglasses and rushed out.

Seojin stood there, trying to process everything. Then it hit her. Seojin ran out the elevator, following the lady.

The lady was already hailing over a cab. As Seojin walked out the front doors, the cab was already taking off. Seojin ran after it, until it turned around and left.

Taemin followed behind, out of breath and confused.

Taemin: What's wrong? Why did you run out here?

Seojin quickly turned to Taemin.

Seojin: Where's your car?

Taemin: Right there.
(He said pointing to a car right in front of them, holding out his hand with his car keys.)

Seojin quickly took his car keys out of his hands and went around to the drivers seat. Taemin's eyes widened as he realized what Seojin was going to do. He couldn't let her, it was dangerous for her.

Taemin quickly ran after Seojin, as she was about to open the door.

Taemin: Wait! Where are you going?!

Seojin: I need to know who that lady is!

Taemin: Slow down... Who is that lady?!

Seojin: Taemin-ah I don't have time for this. I'll explain later. I have to follow her!
(She yelled trying to open the door.)

But Taemin pushed it close. And put his arms on Seojin's shoulders, making her face him.

Taemin: Seojin.
(He said looking at her as she was struggling to get out of his grasp.)
Seojin. Look at me.
(He said calmly.)

Seojin stopped trying and looked up at Taemin with water in her eyes.

Taemin: Calm down. You're not in your right state of mind right now. Listen to me carefully and do as I say...

Seojin looked at him.

Taemin: I will drive you home, and on the way you can explain everything to me.
(He said as a gentle smile formed across his lips.)

Seojin looked down as a tear drop escaped and fell to the ground. Taemin gently lifted her chin to see her sobbing quietly. He sighed as he pulled Seojin in for a hug.

~In the car.

Taemin: You know driving is dangerous for you. If you sit here, you'll immediately get traumatized again. Now let's back track and start from the beginning. Who is that lady?

Seojin: I don't know.

Taemin looked over at her confused, as he stopped at a red light.

Seojin: She said something about my grandmother, and somehow she knew who I was.

Seojin paused before she continued.

Seojin: She killed my grandmother.

Taemin stepped on the brake, which scared Seojin.

Seojin: Yah! Be careful!
(She yelled, shocked.)

Taemin didn't care, cars were honking at him and going around. He turned his whole body to face Seojin.

Seojin was flustered and backed up, looking at him.
