Morality seeps away as blackness continues
Sustenance of purity dulls as the stench spreads
Tears of happiness turn to tears of grief
As the ability to raise my hands can claim me no longer
Eyes that were once so bright, gaze with knowledge of the unforgettable
Where joy once reigned echo follows after
Greed, evil and bitterness once so foreign
Embrace me with their loving touch
Vile, corrupt and foul are all that I know now
And I am once again lost between my worlds
Hope is out of my reach and I cannot claim innocence any longer
Ripped away from my sustenance due to my desires
Mouth upturned can remain no longer
Words once beautiful can no longer be seen
Knowledge of beauty has been replaced with wrong
Will I ever face the light again?
