A grizzly bear met Agnes's gaze as she tried to step back, but landed on a squeaky floorboard. Agnes was terrified, the bears brown eyes, staring into hers. Her father was scared stiff, while her mother took out her wand.
"Mutare tergum!" she shouted. Changing the grizzly bear back into Nibbles, the friendly hamster. "What were you thinking!" Lilith screeched. Her race red with fury. "You cannot do these things! You were grounded for your misuse of spells, then you go and make up another. I bet you didn't even look up the reversing spell!" her mother paced back and forth. Her father lie passed out on the ground, in Lilith's rage she didn't even notice. "If you want to get into this prestigious school you can't misbehave like this. We have spoiled you too much, to thing you can do whatever you want.." she continued on with her lecture, while Agnes, wrote down the spell her mother used to reverse the awful thing she just did. She turned the page in her textbook to find the exact same thing. 'Of course' she thought. Her mother's screaming did not bother her, she was already disappointed in herself for not doing proper research.
"Mother, I-" Agnes started to speak, but was cut off by an owl flying through her room window. Agnes picked it up the letter, it was strange. Owls only came to deliver the daily newspaper, but it had already come this morning. She opened the letter, which her mom didn't even notice. She read through it carefully, her eyes widened as she read.
"Mother! I was accepted into the school! They are letting me in early!" Agnes screamed. Her mother was in complete shock.
"Give me that!" she screamed in excitement. The letter read:
To Agnes Fickle's parents/ guardian,
We would like your daughter, Agnes Fickle to join us for the school year this term. I am completely aware of her age and yes, she is still young, but her determination to learn is why we would love her to come early. She has been chosen, along with ten other students, her age and younger to join the first years. The year starts September 27 and all of your items will be provided, due to the fact you are unaware of where to go to get the items you will need.

~Ello! We are finally getting into some of the juicy bits, Agnes is a wizard. This is a romance story so we will get to that too, more characters just need to be introduced and we need to get into the plot a bit more!
