Agnes plopped down on her bed, grounded for the third time this month. She sighed and went to the cupboard, pulling out her spare wand and spell books.
'I'm a witch. Good witches practice' she said to herself, determined to rebel against her mother, Lilith and her father, Benjamin. She was hoping to go to the best academy when she turned 13, Finkleys Wizard and Witches academy. Agnes was a brunette with pale skin, almost as pale as her freckles that dotted her face. She had her mothers blue eyes, and her fathers, rather small nose. She was determined to be the best witch she could, like Mary Spotter, she read lists of stories about 'Mary Spotter' a witch who did great things and saved the wizarding world they lived in today. She was determined to be just like her, and more.
She looked in her spell book for the first transfiguration spell she wanted to practice. Transfiguration was one of her favorite things to do, seeing as Mary Spotter was very good at it. She went and got her pet hamster, Nibbles who was a crocodile until she managed to turn it into a hamster, she kept it ever since. She flipped to 156 in her textbook and started to read the spell. The book read:
In order to cast a transfiguration spell on tiny animals you must recite the word 'minima mutationes' and focus on what animal you would like your experiment to transform to.
'It's pretty simple' Agnes thought. She wanted to change her hamster into a dog, seeing as she wanted a dog as well. She pictured a dog in her head, a German Shepard it's hair shining from the sun's rays.
"MINIMA MUTATIONES" Agnes screamed, realizing she had been to loud. Her parents came rushing up the steps, two at a time and banged on the door. Agnes was startled by the sudden sound, suddenly she turned to the door and opened it, to see her parents towering before her. They looked at her then looked up and stared, Agnes looked behind her and saw a bear in her bedroom, ready to attack.
