one time.

one fucking time she forgot to call that damn security guard, and now she was staring at a shattered window with a pool of shining, glistening crimson blood messily spilt all over the floor. as if it was some fruit punch disregarded of at a frat party.

and the worst part was she didn't know who's blood it was.

walking closer to the crime scene, lalisa picked up the first thing that gleamed in her darkening eyes. twirling it slightly in her now bloodied fingertips, her already dark brown eyes turned to pure black, anger filling her veins like a flood.

your promise ring. the promise ring she bought for you exactly three months ago.

lalisa didn't waste a single moment before shoving the ring into her pocket as she stormed off to the front door. slamming it behind her without a care in the world, giving the same treatment to her car door as she drove off quickly to her warehouse. calling up one of the three women she could trust, her voice dripped with pure venom once park chaeyoung, her assassin, picked up.

"i want every being who's breathing and alive on our team to search for y/n. i don't give a shit how they find her but she will be with me safe and sound. or else you'll all be dead, am i clear?"

"crystal, lisa."

———————————

you didn't know how long you were in there. hours? days? weeks? it was all the same in all honesty. hell, you were even surprised at your remaining knowledge of time, due to what those horrid criminals did to your poor, unaware body.

the memory of their leather whips slamming onto your bare back, the memory of their sharpened, and sometimes even dull daggers running across your skin slowly burned a place in your mind permanently.

you just wanted lalisa. you just wanted to feel home embrace you in its loving, awaiting arms. you wanted to feel lalisa hold you close to her chest, her heart beating as you rested your ear on her bosom.

but you didn't even know if lalisa was looking.

———————————

"you're lucky that the dumbasses who took y/n took off the tracking device in her ring after they put her in place." jisoo's soft yet low voice pierced lalisa's dull and tired ears.

the youngest girl hadn't slept in the past two days, awaiting her team's results of all the trackers she had on you, and on objects around you.

lalisa had countless trackers on your jewelry and accessories, all of which were sitting in front of her; either smashed to pieces or broken.

one tracker in your necklace that you received for your birthday last year, found in the trash can outside your household. one tracker in the promise ring she gave to you exactly three months ago, found in what she discovered as the capturer's blood, meaning you put up a damn good fight; just like lalisa taught you.

regardless of the amount of shit lalisa strapped to your body while you slept, or while you were unconscious from your lover fucking the sanity out of your poor body; it was all gone. well, at least three of the six trackers were.

"thank god you convinced her to wear that nail jewel, lisa." jisoo spoke again, making lalisa run over to her oldest friend, staring at the red dot that beeped loudly, the sound making some men cover their ears.

as the sound raidiated from jisoo's monitor, lalisa was already stripping off her leather jacket, grabbing her daggers and guns. strapping a dagger onto each thigh, she had a venomous glare that sent most of the burly men running out of the room. looking at the location one last time, lalisa stormed out of her office, out the door, and into her car.

with her three friends calling out for lalisa to wait for them, she just couldn't. all she had on her mind was the thought of you being dead due to her waiting, the thought that those people had the guts to lay a damn finger on you while knowing who you were.

that's what made her foot slam onto the gas pedal and race off without a single drop of sanity left in her body.

———————————

days now passed by and that was clear to you, seeing as the men who held you captive brought you breakfast, lunch, and dinner. when asked of their surprisingly kind actions, all you got was a smirk and slap to your face.

as they slapped you across the cheek for what felt like the tenth time this morning, you felt numb to the pain arising in your red, irritated skin. the small whiplash the slap gave to your skin was now non existant.

"stay here. not like you'd get the choice to move anyways!" one of the men laughed hysterically, cutting my cheek with a dagger before laughing their way out of the room.

"you," he pointed to the two men inside the room before he left, sending dark dagger-sharp glares their way. "watch for any intruders. her mommy probably is coming." he chuckled, walking off with a smirk.

you stared hopelessly down at your lap, sighing quietly before hearing the sound of a dagger cutting through air. flinching at the mere fear that built up within you of the dagger slashsing your flesh, you were shocked when you saw one of the men scream in agony.

the dagger was lodged into his eye.

then, without another second passing, you could hear the sound of three bullets racing through the atmosphere, piercing the cold air with its fiery speed. as the bullets met their bullseye, you closed your eyes on instinct, the cold feeling of something splattering onto your skin made you whimper.

you weren't prepared to feel and see someone's blood shoot onto your face and limbs like a sprinkler. when you opened your mouth to scream, you couldn't find anything that could come out, it was pure silent. as if you were on the fastest roller-coaster in the world, and weren't given the time in the day to scream for mercy.

with your shock filling your veins quicker than your tears could flow out of your body, you couldn't even open your eyes at this point to face the sound of footsteps rushing towards you. however, the shock was filled with confused relief as the restraints that once bound your wrist and ankles to the chair were removed.

"y/n look at me, baby."

your eyes shot open as your brain triggered the sweet memories of your girlfriend's sweet yet low voice. looking up at her worried expression, you started to sob weakly.

lalisa was quick to react, picking you up from the chair and holding you close to her body, cooing quietly. with the sweet scent of her perfume filling your nostrils, instead of the metal scent of your own blood leaving your veins.

"i've got you, babygirl. listen to my voice.. i'm here." she whispered, kissing the top of your head as your consciousness started to leave your body. however, lalisa didn't seem too worried about that, only cooing in your ear to close your eyes and rest.

and so that's what you did, closing your eyes and letting the scent of home consume your body. the scent of your rescuer filling your brain as you lost all consciousness.
