My information then had been primarily recieved only from witnesses shouting at my gravestone. Before I became a haunting son of a bitch. From six feet under, I was told he was the first to get out. I was told he was shoving people out of his way toward the door of our high school cafeteria before the gun was even visible. I was told he knew beforehand. I was told a lot of things about that day, most of which had been absurd and distorted - out of context and proportion, but that, that first one, I believe.
He left first and I left on a gurney.
It started as an innocent-enough thievery from Frank's bedroom in comparison to what it ended as. What it had been was a simple scheme on Cassie's end to steal a few bucks, some material items, but now it's more than that. A thievery? Yes. A few bucks and a t-shirt? Hell fucking no. She took a life- she took my life.
Now I may not be much individually, but I was a son, I was a brother, I was a cousin, nephew, grandson- you fucking name it. Speaking of which, fuck I miss my grandma. And when she killed me she killed either a tiny part or a massive part of everyone I knew. An acquaintance, a former lab partner, a friend. I wasn't much but I was something. I was Frank's boyfriend and that's what really got to me. She took away my ability to see him, and maybe it's better- for him I mean. I'd probably punch the motherfucker in the face.
I loved him and he just left me right when I got shot in front of the whole god damn school. I think he's a coward. At least I stood up to Cassie, granted this was before I knew she had a gun but by the time that thought rolled around she was already aiming it at my head. Fucking bitches, both of them.
These people, these students, teachers, whatever, they may have lost a passing hello, but I lost my fucking present, future and the past isn't done with me yet.
