Chapter 8

I grab my pack and make sure everything is in it. I bend down to grab a few band aids that fell out. Someone slaps my butt. I turn around and see Zayn.

"What the hell?" I ask hiding my blush. I quickly pick up the band aids and stand up, he pushes me to the tree.

He places his hands on the tree surrounding me. "What? You can't say you don't like this." He says closing the space between us.

"I...Zayn..I don't..." I lie looking at his lips. I want him so bad but I want a somewhat stable place to call camp first.

"Your lying..." He says and gets closer to my lips so I can feel his breathe on my lips.

"Zayn.." I say wanting to lean forward but grip the tree.

He kisses me and I smile but hide it. I feel sparks and kiss him back. He cups my cheek and pushes me closer to the tree. I grip his hips. I pull away for breath. I blush and push him away.

"Sydnee I'm sorry!" He yells after me. I run faster to Angelina, if she was even there, because I don't know if she was

I see she isn't there so I climb the tree and sit and think. Tears fall down my face. 'This has happened before! I like my friend he kisses me and then we go out and I get cheated on..I can't let that happen again.' I think to myself.

I wipe the tears and grab the locket. I fumble with it and open it. I look at the picture of us. I cry and cuss endlessly at the zombies. The thought of them makes me sick.

I turn my legs and sit one leg on each side, I pick at the tree bark. 'Why me?' I ask myself feeling my lips.

"You need to get yourself together...your facing zombies and your crying!" I yell at myself, putting my head in my hands.
