So The Tables Have Turned...

Their new life in the golden rehabilitation center was a grand one. Everyone was content with the new surroundings, and everyone got along; even with Kcalb, who seemed to grow a bit of a soft side (especially towards Wadanohara; who didn’t?). Emalf and Vendetto’s bond was incredibly strong; they sang the most obnoxious karaoke, even if they were singing as passionately as they were. The dining hall in which they sang looked to be one identical to a ball room of a castle. The individual tables provided a good variety for everyone to get a chance to talk to one another; not everyone sat at the same table with the same people every time (with an exception of the couples… Wadanohara and Samekichi being the most obvious one). Ver and Memoca were in a rather tight bond as well; the pelican found it fascinating that she was friends with a demon. The demon provided her with company when she needed it, and even drew with her, played with her, everything Memoca wanted to do. Ver knew that the pelican needed this more than anyone… for crying out loud, her friends were voices in her head.

Many more memories were made, such as Wadanohara’s discovery of the beach. Miami was known for its beaches, and those beaches were known for tourists. There was never a time when the beach was empty except for after hours, when only the patients and nurse of the rehabilitation center were allowed along the waters. The witch and her lover would splash in the shallow water together, or even go for a few swims above or below water; whatever she was in the mood for. Of course, sitting on the back of a shark underwater would be impossible without magic, right? Her magic skills were becoming extraordinary and easier to control than before; letting her have a variety of whatever she wanted. Unfortunately, she only used magic in some instances including any cures for patients or simple things like being with her lovely shark under the crystal depths of the ocean.

Outside time was a new activity established by the nurse; everyone was able to go outside when they pleased (as long as Wadanohara knew and had her permission; some patients were naughty). The atmosphere changed with every season, but every season brought with it new charms to their surroundings and fun things to do whatever time of the year. When the witch would be outside, she would frequently play with a little white rabbit, or whenever the rabbit wasn’t around her, it would watch her from a distance. What they didn’t know… would be something that would ruin not only the state of things now while living in this grand palace of a rehab, but it would destroy the time-space awareness everyone had of the limitations of the universe.

There was no sorrow, no sadness, no grief… only joy. Every day brought along with it more happiness, and that cycle would repeat for millennia to come… until the civilians of Miami began to wither away with age. The witch and her friends were granted with a charm of eternal life… of course that meant it was just going to be them on their own one day. Even without any new patients, there was still plenty of cheer to go around!

Or so they all thought….
