A month had gone by and things with Yella and I were better than ever. We were always at his house, a show or some party. I was having the time of my life, and because he was so friendly with his money, I didn't have to work as much. And trust me, a bitch was not complaining.

I know it's been a month but with the way things were going, we might have a good future together. This move to Vegas really was it, I'm happy and no drama.

Well. "Mm, I see you're working today. I guess Yella don't have anything for you." Destiny commented.

I ignored her and took my table's food to them. She had been acting like a straight bitch to me, since I decided to get involved with Yella. At this point, it wasn't no warning, it was pure jealousy. Which, I'm use to. But for Destiny to switch up on me, that was bullshit.

Plus, I wouldn't be working but no one would take my shift, so here I am. I don't understand why she's so mad. I'm dating her cousin, not her nigga. Females really do the most for no reason.

When I made it back into the kitchen, Destiny was standing in front of the food window, with two other girls talking shit about me. "She's so fuckin' thirsty for a nigga's dick, that she'll sell her soul. And now she be actin' funny as fuck. Phony ass bitch."

One of the girls agreed, "Right, like bitch when he drop yo ass for the next Mariah Carey, you'll be back here workin' doubles like a slave. I never liked that hoe, tried to tell you."

"Bitch, I'll listen next time," Destiny laughed.

I just shook my head and stood to the side. My shift was almost over and I'll be out of that place. If Yella and I were solid, I'd quit. But I'm not stupid, we've only been fucking with one another for a month. But my thing with these girls was, why the fuck do they care so much?

Then the third girl, Aaliyah looks my way, "Bro, she right there, just listening."

That's when everyone's attention went on me, and they started dying laughing. That did hurt. It reminded me of when I used to live in foster homes and with my aunt. Most of my life, I was made fun of for something and then I moved here and it had finally stopped, until now.

But they were not getting the best of me. I was used to it. So I looked to them and smiled, "Why would I even entertain y'all. I'm winning boo." I saw an order ready and walked right beside Aaliyah and check to make sure it was accurate.

I dare her to try it. I may not be all bark, but I do bite. They don't want the real Maia, she's crazy as fuck. I then looked to the ticket to see the food was Destiny's and stood to the side. "I bet your table hungry, might want to take their food to them sis. Give them as much attention, as you're always giving my name, they pay ya bills and I don't."

Destiny basically pushed Aaliyah to the side, getting into my face, "Girl try it if you want to."

I was over it. I really wanted to know what the fuck was up. She was doing way too much. "What's your problem?" I questioned, scrunching a brow.

"Aaliyah run my food," Destiny ordered.

And like a dumb ass, that girl took the order out and Destiny snapped, "You're my problem. I was your friend! Then you wanna switch up when you get dick. Girl, when he drop you, like he drop every other bitch, you'll be over here lookin' stupid as fuck. But that's okay, cause I'm done with yo gold diggin' ass."

I took a step back and faked a laugh, "If that's how you feel, but I'm not going back and forth with you. You feel how you feel and I feel the opposite. Not my fault, nor my problem."

"Dummy ass hoe," Destiny said pushing past me and leaving out the kitchen.

I then made eye contact with the other shit talker. She just frowned at me and so I said, "girl I don't even know your name. You just got here like two weeks ago, learn the damn menu first." And I walked past her.
